Trautmann kickte in den 30er-Jahren bei TuRa. Ab 1946, in britischer Kriegsgefangenschaft, spielte er für Manchester City. Höhepunkt seiner Karriere: Pokalgewinn 1956 – Trautmann spielte sogar mit nach einem Foul angebrochenem Genick!

Trautmann played balls in the 1930th for TuRa. Since 1946 Prisoner of War, he played for Manchester City. Highlight of his career: Cupwinner 1956- Trautman even played with a broken neck after been fouled.
Good News, a so called "Bert Trautmann supporters club" Group tried to persuade the local authoritys for years now.....
TuRa (low league Club) now plays about 1-2 km away from the original area and the Wischhusenstrasse where Bert is Born and grewn up. You´ll find pics of him in some Pubs and bars in that area.
