The Run In.

I think by now we know only three sides are left in this race. While Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham might be able to catch one or two of the top three, it's ridiculously unlikely to think all three top sides are going to drop enough points for one of them to win the league.

These are the remaining fixtures against top 10 sides. I should point out that although I included Villa, they are only 6 points off the bottom, such is the congestion in the bottom half of the table.

Arsenal:-
Home: Man City, Man Utd, Newcastle.
Away: Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Southampton, Tottenham.

City(-1):-
Home: Chelsea, Aston Villa, Southampton.
Away: Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton, Man Utd.

Chelsea(-2):-
Home: Everton, Newcastle, Arsenal.
Away: Aston Villa, Liverpool, Man City.

The next two games will be very telling for City, Spurs away and Chelsea at home strikes two names off that list. Six points and I think we'd be breathing a whole lot easier.

Nicely simplifies things. Everton away worries me as it does every year. Our next 2 will say very much where we are heading. Always bank on us at home but need to stop conceding away.

Hard to imagine that all the top teams won't slip up here & there.

If we beat Chelsea, a point apiece at Anfield & Tarquinland might be enough to do the job in the scheme of things, allowing for the usual ups & downs which will happen during the last 3rd with all teams, including us.

I think Arsenal fans haven't figured out how screwed they are yet. At least ours are spread out, they go through a torrid month and a half where they'll be shedding points like it's Summer.

United?

Edit: Just realised you said top 10 and not top 6 ;-)

It gets worse if you read just the top 6, with both Arsenal and ourselves playing all the other five teams, both with 1 at home and 4 away. As opposed to Chelsea who play four of the five, but with two at home and two away.

With nobody slipping up over the festive period out away games against the top teams, we should do Chelsea at home but spurs away will be a massive test, if we lose, we will have played 2 of the top teams away from home and lost both (other being Chelsea) which doesn't bode well for the rest of the games. Spurs are on from right now and although they aren't playing particularly great they are taking their chances. Arsenal will drop points during their tough run of fixtures but I can see Chelsea grinding out the results they need, it won't be pretty but they'll do it.

Chelsea clear favourites. Get your money on them now.

Everton away presents a different type of difficulty than under gollum. They play good football, so that should suit us.

i actually think yr right tho you may be deploying the little known device called 'sarcasm' which isn't often your cup of tea.

Here's where we could use some Mancini-style mind games with the Special Cunt. I'd like to see Mourinho get assfucked and lose the league to us by 1 pt. I hate the loudmouthed bullshit artist.

cheers

I've just realised that if results really go our way in the next month, we may win the league home to West Brom & I'll be out of the country, probably travelling, when it's happening.

My view is that the trusted and bang on saying that "one game at a time" is very much upon us !

P:22 GD:+42 Pts:54 <---Finished 1st on GD.
P:22 GD:+24 Pts:48 <---Finished 2nd by a good distance.

Arsenal still worry me. Yes they've not done great against the big teams but they just keep beating the smaller teams and whilst they are ahead of us they still deserve to be treated as potential title winners. If they can carry on doing that and get a couple of results against Us, Chelsea, pool etc then they might have a chance.

Would rather them win the league than Boreinho if for some reason we slip up.

However, what a great season this is, it's great to see it so competitive after the stroll in the park the Rags had last season.

Everyone plays each other twice so fuck it bring them on. We beat bayern in munich so we can beat anyone anywhere.

i'm totally uncreamy in fact, as i said in my post above.

i don't even have a semi, let alone have my cock out with some precum awaiting release.

i expect this shit to go down to the wire, and we've defo got the toughest runout of the 3 at the top.

obviously Liverpool's match tomorrow is big but how does this shape up now? we can still afford to draw at Liverpool right?

Aye and possibly even draw another if we keep our goal difference better than theirs
