----

Alright ... not a lot of time on my hand today so the intro is going to be brief ... (plus frankly having a hard time motivating myself to spend an hour writing this and looking up their past and future fixtures and what effect it will have etc.) ... such was the 6-0 thumping that well, it'll truly be a kids v kids game. I don't even see Fat Sam putting out his first teamers for this one ...

Biggest thing for us would be a Jovetic sighting perhaps ... best thing for them would be to at least draw at home. I still think that even with second stringers (and if people are expecting 4-5 kids starting, forget it, we've seen enough of Peeligrini to know that's not happening) ... so I still expect us to win say about 4-0 there ... a nice 10-0 over two ties. (And the day ain't too far when we'll score that 10 in one tie) ...

The second semi-final, a day later, at the swamp is perhaps more exciting than our game ... who do we want in the final? I'd rather they get a little more humiliated next game itself than make it to the final and make it tense for us for no reason ...

"United target top four, City want all four"

C'mon City!

I want sunderland in the final. Team for Tuesday:
Pants
Richards Lescott Nasti Clichy
Garcia Milner Huws
Navas Dzeko Lopes

Rodwell may be fit but can only think it's bench at best for him. I expect MP to inform us at the presser that Jovetic will be back in a weeks time.

Sunderland for me also. Much as i'd love to beat them in a final at Wembley, seeing them get knocked out by Sunderland, at the swamp, would br sweet. Plus if there is to be a fluke, at least we won't see Gollums grid spouting off all kinds of shite like 'this is what we do. Win things'.

I like that team, good mix of squad players and youth.
Only change I would make would be to put Aguero in to get him some game time however I can see the value of playing Dzeko as he is a confidence player and is currently scoring most games and when that happens, you want to play all the time.

Would prefer not to see Navas play too, with Nasri out we need to keep him fresh.

not a bad shout. i like that lineup but would like to see Jovetic from the start. If he's not fit then I dunno.

Id prefer:

Panti
Boyata Lescott Nasti Clichy
Garcia Rodwell
Milner Jovetic Lopes
Dzeko

with Aguero and Huws getting 30 or so. Id prefer Boyata over Micah; he can play at the weekend

I have a feeling he'll stick Ferdy in there having rested him all of last game ... he'll he the senior figure in the midfield directing our game ... then rest him again against Watford and bring back fresh again against Spurs ...

Panti
Richards - Lescott - Nasti - Clichy
Ferdy - Garcia (or Rodwell if fit)
Milner - Jovetic - Lopes
Dzeko (Aguero for second half)

Boyata has had his chance(es) in the first team. I rather give Richards some valuable game time or any half decent right back we have win the academy. Boyata is never gonna make it with us, so why waste game time on him?

Will this be the return of Jovetic? I really hope so.It's a great chance to play a few fringe players so could be a good watch from that point of view.

Interested to see how BFS is going to play this one, he played kids in a cup match he could have progressed through - will he really think he can turn this one around and play senior players? Doubt it.

I think BFS cannot afford another thrashing. I expect he will play a decent (by West Ham standards) team and play for pride.

BFS doesn't know the meaning of pride

Big fat Sam is one of the highest paid football managers, yet still turns up at food banks. No dignity.

Pellegrini pretty well said Aguero would get 60 minutes.

So that's makes him a starter then ... and will be subbed off later ...

He'll still go 4-4-2 so who'll partner Aguero up top? Jovetic?

I would have thought Jovotic is more likely to replace Aguero after 60 than start with him as he hasn't played in so long. That and a bit longer against Watford would build him up nicely for next month.

Really hoping to see Jovetic play tonight, and I'd like to see Milner in the centre. Just finished nightshift so I'm off to the wank-chariot, I'll not be rising til about half an hour before kickoff so keep the noise down...

hoping to see jovetic making an appearance at some stage, this will be an ideal game for him to get back into it.
