Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!
by AG7 » Wed Jan 08, 2014 5:21 pm
Right, so a few hours to kick-off ... should hear the team news in over an hour and twenty mins or so ...
Whenever the whole fans' thinking is the game will be a scrappy 1-0, we go and produce a 6-0 or 6-3 ... When we all thought it'd be a 2-0 or 3-0, we went and produced results like 5-2 and 7-0 ... but whenever we have thought it'll be a 5-0 or 6-0, we got a tough 1-0 ...
This time however the opinion is divided. There are voices of 4-0 and then there are those expecting a 1-0 ... well, as long as it's a win for us and somefthing in +ive to take to the next leg, I'll be happy ...
C'mon City!

Without seeing the lineups I think wel'll get a comfortable two goal win today. 2-0 or 3-1 it is then.
Wouldn't mind if we do better than Forest did though! And we are more than capable of that if we are on top of our game.
Will be interesting to see the team today.. Panties or Hart? Who at RB (I'd personally rest Zabba here)? Any kids on the bench? Full 90 to cult hero Garcia?

Can't understand Clichy (unless Kolarov's injured) or Garcia playing.

So Hart, Kola and Ferdy rested for Newcastle ...
Will probably get away with it too if West Ham just sit back all game and don't test any of them ... Kolarov however over Clichy would've been better if we have to go attack a parked bus!

Fuck it, Milner should just change his last name to Sombrerero.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"
"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Garcia and Negredo/Dzeko.
Pellegrini must have fucking cataracts if he can't see these issues.

Great! Garcia playing in the middle to nullify the 1 attack west ham will probably have each half, seen as he offers nothing going forward he is a passenger and a waste of space! And I actually think he's alright! Panty in goal worries me too, but he should be able to read a paper during the game!

Garcia is Mystery really ?!
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Negredo Dzeko and no Navas means West sham won't be worried about us getting behind them. I think Kolarov should have played for his crosses but at least Zaba's playing. Garcia releases Yaya to play further forward? Agree about Milner's absence.

Team should be good enough. Glad to see Fernandinho get a rest, maybe will get half an hour to give Yaya a bit of rest.
Dont mind seeing Garcia or Negrado/Dzeko, they need to get mins on the pitch.
Clichy needs to really show what he is about. He has been a passenger the last 18 months. He seems to lack confidence, this game he should be free to bomb forward, carry the ball and try and beat a player
