Sorry if covered but what does it all mean?
Pellers..
“I always believe that a player cannot do it unless he feels he can do it.
“I will support the players. I believe in the players and I believe in Jovetic.
“He has had a very bad luck for the first half of the year and I hope the second half will be very good for him. He is trying to do everything.”
When asked what Jovetic’s problem was Pellegrini said:
“It is difficult to know. I hope this will be the last one and he can start playing. He is an important player.”
When asked if Jovetic had a mental issue, Pellegrini replied:
“I can’t say that, no.”
Odd.

By odd you feel there is something other than injuries?
Maybe He has just had a bad run.

He's not injured. Doug saw him sprinting this week. He's obviously not match fit though as Doug noted. If he isn't on the bench on Wednesday I'll be worried. We've got a lot of important matches this season without Aguero. We badly need Jovetic playing.

I expect he will be tried in one or both of the cup matches. He has to have a go and get through a game.

Jovetic is out of the Blackburn game says Pellers after today's game. Also Guidetti is injured and is likely to be loaned out.Pellers actually said Jovetic will not be ready for the Blackburn game.

There is no reason to suspect this at all. MP stated after the game that Jovetic would not be ready for Blackburn. He may still be building up his fitness so let's hope he will be ready for the Semi next Wednesday.

Sorry. The injury reports have sounded increasingly dubious, so it's hard not to think there's something amiss.

What the hell, a shed load folks witter about the media being dead set against us in what they choose to write and interpret. Yet we have our own fans talking nonsense about Jovetic 'not being interested' / 'not being mentally up to it'. The lads just had a run of bad luck with niggling injuries and set backs.
Sideshow Bob I read that in jest? It was wasnt it???

Isn't he quite religious? Orthodox Christmas is on the 7th, so he may want to be with family for that, especially if he is having homesickness issues.

No I just wish we'd get some answers. Of all of our summer signings I was most excited about jovetic...and it seems he'll never play!

I don't know about homesick. He won't get paid much in Montenegro and he came to us from Italy. As for the orthodox Xmas City players are expected to play over our Xmas period so I don't believe for one minute he'll be allowed to go to Montenegro over the next week. Doug reported he was sprinting hard but was puffing and blowing so not match fit which isn't a surprise given his lack of playing time. It's possible he had a small setback after the New Year's Eve training session. Merson for once had an interesting thought. He wondered whether Jovetic doesn't want to play until he feels 100 per cent niggle free. Merson's take was that he hardly ever felt like that. He spent his football career playing with little niggles. All speculation of course but a better shout than talking about drug taking which is bang out of order.

Its becoming evident that the club doesn't like to let out any details around injuries, or just the very basic info - we definitely keep our injury timescales and seriousness close to our chests, keeping the return of injured players a bit of a guess for the opposition (Zabba, Tyler saying Kun was off injured earlier in the season when he wasn't etc).
I have no doubt that Jovetic has been nothing more than injury/illness/set backs - might be frustrating that we (and the press and opposition) only get snippets if info but I'd prefer that than the club leaking info on everything like a sieve

Yes, but the majority of the rest of the squad have family in the UK, or have settled there. With the current chaos with the UK's borders, it is unlikely Jovetic's family would be permitted visas to visit him over the Christmas period (Montenegrins don't need visas for Italy), and also every other league he has played in has had a Winter Break, allowing him to return home. Florence/Italy also has very good transport connections with Montenegro; Manchester/the UK less so...

What a load of fucking shite.
Do the rags' job for them why don't you.
Perhaps the Mirror can speculate on this shit being spread by City fans & make up a piece on Jovetic, then some of you can read that & assume it's true, & start more shit.

Having seen the quotes from Pellegrini's latest press-conference, I'd say that was much closer to the mark than him being a junkie.

Just a thought. It would seem for whatever reason he hasn't settled here. Is it worth sending him on loan for rest of season to take him out of spotlight here and get him some much needed game time. Of course if he is just always injured and thats the sole reason for his absence, then we just hope he gets fit and give him time to do so.
Funny how the signings you most look forward to sometimes disappoint the most.

Why does it seem he hasn't settled ? did he look unhappy to you last time you saw him ? Did he look unhappy when he played & was man of the match ? Where are you getting this 'unsettled' stuff from ?
