Talk about last chance saloon

He was decent too. Looked really up for the cup. There's no doubt he's an effective operator when focussed. Great option to come off the bench. I wouldn't be displeased to see him stay.

I'd go as far as to say him coming on stopped the rot, so to speak.
His capability to hold possession and his ease at taking and giving the fast one-two passes.
Above all else though, as others have commented, he looked up for it. Rusty infront of goal but very eager to get there.

Not really mate. He's scored some important goals for sure. But how many times has he gone missing? 4 or 5 good matches since he's been here. And there's that free kick as well.

Is there no end to the 'Pep Effect' whereby players who have been seemingly written off, are rehabilitated with revitalised capabilities ??

First there was Kolarov, then Raheem and now Nasri.

Zabba also seems to have a useful Pep role in our ranks and when we bought Stones, the media condemnation was deafening but look at these players now. It's only early days but the signs are all so positive and giving grounds for a little optimism. Otamendi is looking much better and it's almost like signing new players.

It's just a pity that Bony and Yaya are apparently immune to the 'Pep Effect', whilst Mangala is probably a lost cause altogether.

And then there's Joe Hart, so who knows............

But you've got to hand it to the Pep Maestro; irrespective of how our season pans out, he seems to know how to handle players and get the best out of most of them.

Nasri is not the only one who has made mistakes or has gone missing in games, have we all got short memories.
If pep can see a use for him he should stay, I don't have any particular like or fondness for him but he is still a good option and still a good footballer, can see him contributing in this system.

This is true, but he has got a reputation of being lazy. I think he has all the attributes that would be a great asset in a Pep team, technically.
If Pep can get the desire to do it consistently into him and with the work rate required in the current system, then he truly is a genius.
I thought Nasri looked really eager to impress yesterday and was making the runs into the space with force. It's hard to guage though this early, who he was trying to impress. Is it possible suitors or does he genuinely want to fight his way into the team.
It's hard to know. But if Pep gets him playing, then he will be a great asset. If he is not up to 100% commitment, Pep won't entertain him.

How many time has Kolarov's effort or ability gone missing in big or small games? I like the guy and love his new role under Pep. But it's a bit rich for the guy with a man-crush with Kolarov to call other players out for going missing.

Nasri may buckle under pressure at times, but so have most of our squad over the years. And despite that, Samir has so much talent and ability to add to our team. He's like Delph, but 2x better (and I'm a fan of Delph).

If you quite herion, are you an addict for life?
If you dry bum another bloke, are you gay for life?
If you break 10 mirrors, are you cursed for life?
If you move to the DR with a bunch of cats, do you hate central defenders for life?
If you grow up in the Sahara Desert, are you thirsty for life?

Depends on whether you were an addict in the first place.

Yes but if you use lube then no.

Obviously.

No idea.

Depends if you're a glass half full or a glass half empty type.

If you prove you've lost the weight then obviously not. Maybe my example wasn't the best. Has Samir proved he's not a coward anymore? The answer is no.

He'll let us down eventually when he feels like he's proved people wrong and his 'old habits' creep in again. You don't turn up for training overweight unless there's something wrong with your professionalism.
