Looks like his remit is to get them past the last 8 in the CL even though they tonked in their 1st game against Real. He'll be up against Juve as well so I can't see them getting through.

They're also doing pretty naff in the Turkish League as well but will have a better chance of pulling that around.

Good luck to him and I'll be keeping an eye to see how he gets on.

Either him with Galatasaray ... or Balotelli with AC Milan ... or Tevez with Juventus ...

... is going to come back to haunt us at some stage this season ...

We'll make it past the group stages (finally), only to run into one of them ... that ladies and gentlemen is Typical City.

I know i've accused him of being a chequebook manager and a flat track bully, but reality is he has a sound defensive methodology which will always stand him in good stead provided he doesnt fuck the whole squad off in the process of implementing it.

And in Turkey, whilst he wont have an unlimited transfer fund, he will still have far more resources than any other club and the likes of sneijder, drogba, altintop, yilmaz, melo...........and Albert Riera (first out the door anyone) who happens to be listed as a left back on transfermrt????

Will be hard to rate him on champions league though, as apart from the big names gala have, they arent that good overall and are unlikely to do anything in europe, so would be a major surprise if he qualified from their group, and i'm not sure anybody would expect him to other than the gala board.

You're confusing him with Ferguson and Mourinho. Despite the blabberings on this site since his sacking. Mancini is a great Manager. Throw money?? I don't think so

I bet it would be quality to manage Gala as it's bonkers over there.

He is either gonna be a hero or need mega security at least the scarf wont be needed.

i'm guessing he found a settlement for a portion of that, or else he'd sit back sipping vino and shagging his wife instead. I know i would, and he's not a stupid man.

cheers

Quite, there's no way our owners are stupid enough to have agreed a severance deal that sees him get £5million a year.

Exactly.

I think Bob could have held off for a bigger/better job but he'll do well at Gala, he's never failed anywhere he's been so far.

And how did he do spending circa €30million NET on players in his four years at Inter?

Chequebook manager indeed.

Can't wait for the "he may have won three titles in a row, but they didn't count" argument.

It kinda counts when you take over the best team in the league by a country mile
