There's no way he should be sacked until the end of the season, not unless we drop out of the top four and qualification looks in doubt, which it won't.

He's a cool customer at a club that has been screaming for someone like him for a lot longer than most of us remember.

He does not believe one bit in "typical city" and it rubs off on both players and fans Imo

I loved his aftermatch Sky interview, making sure he told them the press hadn't been giving the team enough credit.

I'm only at highly satisfied, why am I being kept from this extremely satisfied option?

Having followed Chelsea on Instagram this week, it has become apparent that Barcelona scurrier Lionel Messi has may also have “liked” Manchester City on Facebook, if rumours linking him with a possible move to either club are anything to go by.

The Star repeats claims that Chelsea are “willing to pay” the unsettled Argentinian’s £200m buy-out clause and meet wage demands that would cost them another £300m over the course of six years. City are also interested and their wistful bean-counters are currently consulting the small print in their well-thumbed copy of The Big Book of Financial Fair Play in a bid to gauge the feasibility of bringing Messi to the Etihad.

For their part, Barcelona hope to put an end to the political turmoil in which they find themselves by showing manager Luis Enrique and his backroom staff the door and replacing them with City boss Manuel Pellegrini, his director of football Txiki Begiristain and City CEO Ferran Soriano. The latter pair have previously worked at Camp Nou under president Joan Laporta, who could well find himself back in charge of Barcelona following their summer presidential elections.

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

For the record, I'm very satisfied.

We are playing good football, trying to win games the right way (although perhaps not in Europe), but I struggle to see who could come in and do better than the current manager in the current circumstances

Right manager, right time

No problems with Pelle......v happy overall

A number of poor performers let us down last night in addition to some poor shooting and decision making. We should have been well out of sight

I'm really close to taking my vote one notch down just because he kept Fernando on today and effectively insisted we try to play 10 v 11.

I dont really know what he could have done differently. Personally I think Fern and Fern are too similar and that we become too static with both of them on the midfield, but with Nasri injured and Lamps not really fit for 90 minutes, the options were limited.

I guess you could question playing Komps ahead of Mangala.

I question the decision to sub Milner instead of Fernando.

I question the decision to sub Fernandinho instead of Fernando.

I question the decision to sub Navas instead of Fernando.

All those three - at least in theory - had some ability to offer us something.

We saw it in the last game as well. With Fern and Fern in the middle, there's only one gear ahead all the time. Yaya and Nasri are good at slowing and increasing tempo when they need and neither of the Ferns possess that ability.

I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Navas offered absolutely nothing all day. He is a decent footballer but nowhere near good enough for a team hoping to challenge for the title. He actually ruins our attacks as he is so predictable

Top assists in the league:

1 Cesc Fàbregas Chelsea 15
2 Leighton Baines Everton 8
Gylfi Sigurdsson Swansea City 8
4 Dusan Tadic Southampton 7
Oscar Chelsea 7
Alexis Sánchez Arsenal 7
Stewart Downing West Ham United 7
8 Jordan Henderson Liverpool 6
James Ward-Prowse Southampton 6
Jesús Navas Manchester City 6
Ángel Di María Manchester United 6
12 Raheem Sterling Liverpool 5
Nacer Chadli Tottenham Hotspur 5
James Milner Manchester City 5

Navas seem to offer quite a bit. Doesn't excuse his performance today though.

I know he was shit today, but as I said, at least he is capable of offering us something. Fernando on the other hand, unless we're protecting our lead or really need extra protection...?

To be fair mate, there were a few questions.

1. Why play Vince from the start when he hasn't had any game time whatsoever? We are well aware that he never does this.

2. Taking Milner off was a strange one as he didn't play in the last game, basically saying you're shit (to be fair, he wasn't that good at the time but his stamina would've surely kicked-in in the 2nd half), just at a time when we're negotiating his contract.

3. Fernando looked nowhere in the game and he took Dinho off?

4. He brings a big lad on in Dzeko and takes Navas off. I know Navas wasn't that great with his crosses but why not try the tried and trusted system of a wide man crossing to a big CF?

5. And lastly, does he ever practice corners in training?

Very puzzling today, in many respects.

Not complaining really and not calling for Pellers head, just opening debate on what went on today. I actually thought we'd lose today as we can't seem to sort our shape out when defending yet Pellers decided to change the CB pairing again, even though we've got a week between games. It just doesn't help with the stability of the team.

More Warsteiner for me ;-)

well, i said something similar, although less harsh in a separate thread. i like his game, but we really could benefit from some enhancements at his position. he's a nice complimentary player if you have nasri and yaya, but you can see how we could better without their presence in the team, which with nasri, silva and aguero's injury records feels like is a legitimate concern.
