Fuck that ... what's done is done ... lets talk what lies ahead ...

The biggest concern everyone of us must (or should) have is that our Away form doesn't look great at all (hell, at the moment even home form isn't much to say about either) ... but I think one thing we all agree upon is that yesterday's team against Stoke was no where near our best available XI and were put out there keeping an eye on the start of CL and of course the derby to follow ... now if we don't win the next two games (yes, the CL campaign opener and the derby) then it was useless not even trying to get all 3 pts back from Stoke ...

With Navas, Aguero, Dzeko, Lescott and Fernandinho all rested and Kompany fit a 100% in 2-3 days (as stated by the gaffer on Friday) I expect these 6 to come right back in ...

Hart
Zaba - Komps - Kinglon - Kola
Fernandinho - Yaya
Navas - Aguero - Nasri
Dzeko

I think Silva will only come back by the next weekend (and will hopefully play in the derby) ...

C'mon City ... let's conquer Europe!
(maybe not all of it this time, but lets get to at least the Semis)

UEFA Referee Apoontment: Paolo Tagliavento (Italian) has been named the referee for Plzeň v City on Tuesday.

This will be his first time officiating a City match ... but unfortunately his general reputation is being overly favourable towards home sides, whoever they maybe.

id like to see Kompany rested until the derby. there's no point bringing him back on Tuesday with the risk of him re-injuring himself. Lescott and Nasti, despite both being left-footed, should be able to hold down the center.

I would too but if team selection against Stoke told us anything it was that CL will be priority this season for Pellegrini ... if that's the case, you'll see Komps leading the team out that tunnel.

No way without him (a leader on the pitch) will we do well in an away game ... last thing Pellegrini needs is CL campaign starting off with a loss, or even a draw.

So Zaba and Kolarov are sure starters as full-backs!

"Let's talk about what lies ahead..."

And then proceeds to talk about what just happened. Brilliant.

Aside from that, I'm with you - come on you boys in blue, let's conker Europe.

How about the Count just tells Rodwell or Milner to stop people from running at or passing the ball through the centre of our defence, then continues with his cunning plan for the rest of the team ?

Surely that would be a reasonable compromise ?

How about he uses someone other than Yaya to screen the back four? Yaya's size has it's uses in a straight line but if I was the opposition I'd be trying to turn him all night then leaving him for dead as he struggled to change direction.

So when is the third kit being launched? I thought last season they launched the third as European Away kit ... so are we wearing this tomorrow? or for that matter that Black away kit? We haven't even wore that one yet in our two away games ...

Well, this answers my question ... looking forward to it.
Just like last year, our third kit is the best of the lot!

We know that Rodders can do the disciplined job in the middle but can he read the game like Barry?

Crazy to think if we win tomorrow, we'll have matched our Champions League performance last year..
Really do need a win though to get morale up for Sunday as well as put us in a good position.

Seen Rodwell do some pretty good reading of the game for Everton. Not many can read the game like Barry ( necessity and all that ) but I'd put my chips on him doing a decent enough job.

He wont play though, Pelligrini is going to persevere with the set up he has been using till it 'clicks'. someone needs to tell him though cos we all know it won't 'click'.

Anyway that is all irrelevant for CL, strangely I feel like City are going to do well. It is the english prem that none of them seem to understand. Maybe they are not listening to Kiddo either.

Kolorov is funny, nobody gives straight faced answers like he does. Watch his reply to "What present do you have Manuel's birthday" an instantaneous robotic answer. I am laughing my ass off

A lot of money going on Plzen for this game you can get 9-2.They beat Napoli home and way last year,so i can understand gamblers fancinig a flutter at that price.

We have to win this game and hopefully we should be too good for them, saying that though anything can happen.
