Finally got to watch this.

Thoughts:

1. Unless we play with Kolarov (ugh) we have no width on the left. Nasri, Silva, Jovetic all come inside when they play "on the left"
2. The 3 new boys in the first half looked very involved. 2 assists for Jovetic, 1 assist and a 1-away assist for Navas, and 1 assist for Fernandinho
3. Kolarov sucks
4. Lescott and Javi are slow; Javi is not a center half
5. Jovetic looked pretty good but timid as it was his first match with the squad
6. Navas looks incredibly dangerous down the flank.
7. Yaya looks to be developing a good partnership with Fernandinho.
8. Great to see Silva so involved.

I also thought that in the Audi cup you could only make 3 changes in the 2nd half....I guess not.
Looks like Sinclair, Razak, and Suarez will be playing tomorrow against Bayern... =/

I'd say any player who played half the game or less has a shot at a game tomorrow.

Hart
Zabs, Kompany, (whothefuckknows), Clichy
Navas, Ferdi, Milner, Silva
Jovetic, Negredo

He was so good I gave him Silva's goal for a hattrick. He deserved it.

Central defence was frighteningly bad to the simple through ball.

New CB immediately please.

Really? You think? I thought he looked pretty full of confidence and willing to express himself

Especially as he can only have had a week or so training with these guys

Thought his first 40 minutes was an exceptional debut personally. Funny how we all see different things isn't it!

Some of the one touch passes Jovetic did in the centre circle, were fantastic; you don't see touches like that. Silva played well, but with Fernd & Jovetic, plus Navasout wide, it's quite possible we are just as strong without him or Nasri or Aguero.

But to be honest none of our first choice defence were playing. Let's not panic just yet

Pelle has got him firing hasn't he..... in fact he has him looking like a different player.

I didn't think even Vampires could make that happen... not that i'm complaining.

Pelle won't do as a nickname. I'm not completely sold on The Count, but it's the best and funniest one I've seen to date.

HAHAHAHA, you're funny.

For anyone on SKY who had ESPN:

ESPN stops 31st July on the SKY subscription - £10 off. BT (inc ESPN) costs £12 through SKY. They also cut our broadband by £3.75 so we actually made a profit.

Well - so we thought but then we had the letter putting up the subscritions by £2. LOL.

Well, I currently pay £0 for all the games, and after the change I will end up paying £0, I'm thinking of writing a strongly worded letter.

I feel you aren't really contributing holistically to the corporate good.

They told us all it was you fellas at the far end of the world who would make us billions.

Maybe some voluntary contributions? :-)

I was scrambling to get a shitty pun in before anyone else beat me to it (as if anyone else would be that sad). I had a couple of 'blindsided' gags and a 'one eye on the clock' quip lined up, but I didn't want to offend anyone.

"If this young man express himself, in terms too deep for me,
What an incredibly deep, deep young man, this deep young man must be "

(from vague memory I think it's courtesy of Gilbert and Sullivan, but I wouldn't swear to it).

I feel a large part of the holistic philosophy is consistency, which I believe I am following by maintaining my current contribution to the greedy bastids at wherever.

well I was so impressed last night with the fluency of movement that I have just 'lumped' on CITY at more than 4/1 on betfair

Guess later I will be thinking 'fools and their money....' etc - but heh I feel much more confident on CITY these days

fools -- it depends on the size of the lump. And if you can afford to lose it.

Gambling, as with drinking, isn't about the act itself but the consequences.

cheers

We were playing some absolute football in that first half. Kudos to Mangrini for seemingly sorting a few individuals out (Dzeko&Nasri spring to kind)
