We've come a long way in 14 years but after 89 minutes they were indeed very, very dark days.....

I will never forget that day. Shouting at the tv when Horlock scored something like "fat lot of good that is now". Crying and pacing round the front room, then letting out a scream that my neighbour told me later sounded like I'd killed someone when Dickov scored.
Just an amazing game of football which will live me with till I'm gone.

I watched it with 2 none football fans who just didnt fucking get it.
Ran up the road until I heard someone else celebrating and did that awkward "i fucking love you but dont know who the hell you are" celebration for about 2 minutes then ran back inside.

Lol Crossie, just like the QPR game I also ended up hugging and kissing complete strangers, that was after smashing my shins as I must have fallen forward three rows!! I finally got home pissed and very late, not good considering I was given special dispensation by my then missus to go as long as I wasn't late or pissed.......we were at a wedding reception!!

Again, big thanks to everyone who contributed to it, still one of my happiest pieces of design I've created despite all the typos ;-)

Other than feeling what a let down after 80 plus minutes, all else I thought was watching the streaming hoards of our fans leaving through my peripheral vision!!!! The next thing I remember was disbelief, followed by Nicky Weaver running around like a mentalist, followed by looking up at the other half Wembley completely empty ( I swear they were there a second ago). That was probably the only time in my life that I have belted a Queen song in full voice (publicly). Took me 3 days to get my voice back LOL

You weren't BORN then? Dear me, I think it's time to get a parental lock on this site. There are certain things that children just shouldn't see/read.
It was half a lifetime ago for me. I was 14 then and I'm 28 now. I was there with my dad and brother (20 at the time), who I've always gone to City with since I got my first season ticket aged 8. My bro was so upset that he was all for storming out as soon as BFB slammed in Gills' second. I found preternatural strength to block him from getting out into the aisle. He's never left a game early since!

I was 17 and it was my first time travelling down to a game on a minibus from the pub.
We had the booze on the bus, anthems and chants being sung all the way down and a driver that was a miserable bastard (probably a rag).
Our seats were behind the goal on the first tier - quality view.
A lot of the lads didnt want to wait for the full time whistle when we were losing so went for a beverage in the grounds, (they soon came back).
The rest you all know. Brilliant day and the only thing that I can compare it to is the winning of the PL last season, it was the same kind of emotion and ecstasy, but for different honours.
