I'm reading Soriano's book at the moment in which he talks about Barca considering buying an MLS franchise which would play in New York. One of the stumbling blocks was that Barca were Nike and the MLS is all Adidas. Clearly that hurdle has been overcome.

Soriano is a serious asset.

Saul is about 5 years behind on how "soccer" in the states work. The one thing I am disappointed about with New York FC is the hiring of Claudio Reyna. Reyna has been the head of youth development for USSF for the last 3 years. He has made a lot of positive changes to youth development in this country.

Because I think it could set back youth development. If the proper replacement isn't put in place. I think its a great hire for NYFC. I just don't care about that team and never will. I support my local division 2 team. I follow the MLS as a league but I am not a fan of any team.
