I was reading the below Bollox taken from Sunday 8th May 2005 and decided to see how much of it was actually true...??

The answer: None of it (As expected)

John Obi Mikel didn’t leave Lyn in 2005, he later signed for Chelsea on 12 September 2006

I missed the 2005 bit...my heart literally sank when I read that Strachan was about to take over. Safe to say had that all happened then we would be planning trips to Newport and Mansfield next season

Didn't Chelsea have to pay the rags £12m for Mikel even though he never played for them, as he had signed for them before turning up at Chelsea. Looks like that bit could have been true, or could have been the one bit of shit that actually stuck

You are absolutely right, however it didnt happen in 2005 as suggested, it wasnt until June 2006 when Chelsea agreed to pay United £12 million for him, and a further £4 million to Lyn, he never made an appearance for United, never officially registered with the FA as a United player and when interviewed on Sky, he claimed he had previously been forced into signing for Manchester United and really wanted to play at Stamford Bridge.
