Goals for Pellegrini

Postby Chopper » Wed May 15, 2013 11:11 pm

As it seems Fizzy will be appointed shortly what are your expectations for the first year?

Heres mine;

Win the league.
Good cup runs
Get past the group stage in Europe.

Entertain fans and players - including a Christmas Eve holistic jam session with Doomie as leading guitar - while Txiki and Ferran run the show.

It won't be the 4 wingers and 6 blonde strikers that Piccs is expecting, but I'd wish a way to adjust 4-3-3 suitable for the Prem will be found and we end up with 100 GS - 12 GA - 24 Cl Sh > golden glove - plenty of potterwares and CL semi.

as refrained all along the last 2 years, if we do not improve dramatically our conversion ratio we won't go nowhere, particularly in Europe, draw apart.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Seeing as we've regressed this year then he needs to deliver a trophy of some sort.

I won't be too fussed in the sense of "Pellegrini out" if we don't win the league, progress in Europe plus a domestic trophy would do for season one.

Having said that, if we're out of the title race in February again questions will be asked.

First season should be free i.e. no expectations other than avoiding disaster (Champs League qualification is the one "must").

Get Piccs and Carl on side and keep them there. Everything else will take care of itself.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

This nothing else. Everything above that is a bonus. I want a good challenge for the league but because it'll be his first year there will be plenty of mistakes imo.

League title and minimum of quarters in Champion's League OR Champion's League win and minimum of top 3 in league. Otherwise we need to try someone else.

Apparently FA Cup don't mean shit anymore. Let's not even talk about League Cup.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Be tactically astute and get the best/form a team from the current crop of players (with a couple of changes to staff) - the rest will follow

It's just his first season so I'm going to give him some leeway. Second season and anything less than treble (+ League cup final with youth team players) would be sackable offense.

We'd better get a lot more set pieces, Pellegrini is a centrehalf.

Wondering how entertaining will Pellagrini be, does anyone know how many goals do his team score in each match on an average.

All I need to see in the 1st season is a manager who can prepare the team, is tactically astute, can make proper substitutes at the right time, respects the players and commends them when they do well. If we can finally get a manager who can do this, trophies will follow as well as attractive football
