POST READING MATCH

I saw a different attitude from all the players tonight and you can read into that what you will but I think its obvious.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Happens everytime a manager leaves though mate.

The proof, as always will be evident come January imo.

Yep, they realised they had a leader in Lescott and Nasti nowhere near the team ;-)

But isn't this often the case though when the manager is fired? Fresh start for everyone, noone has any advantages. I guess most of these guys are playing to show themselves before teh summer. Some of them will be moved on and such and such. I get where you're coming from but I don't think it's that simple.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I saw two teams going through the motions in a meaningless game and our base line of not giving a fuck is much higher than theirs as it should be considering the costs of the the respective squads.

A 6-0 tonight is a clear sign. Winning 2-0 against a piss poor side who have longs since been relegated means nothing.

Sounds like a daft question but what were the celebrations like after the goal? Was the difference in attitude completely apparent?

Didn't see the game unfortunately

Their keeper made some fine saves tonight which kept the score down. Hart made a few also, but there was definitely a change in their attitude compared to Saturday.

I'm just worried about Komps now. I hope he has an injury and it is nothing more.

Not for nothing, but you do realize if not for McCarthy 6-0 would have been the final if not more. If he had been just average this would have been a slaughter.

You're clutching at straws there Carl. I saw a team going through the motions. Capable of much, much more. 2-0 flattered Reading.

I saw a team doing right , what they have been doing right perhaps 90 percent of the season. Blimey, even Silva passed to Edin tonight !

We were playing for league position and for a Golden Glove - hardly meaningless. 20 shots on target and 7 off target tells me a lot about their effort tonight.

27 shots 20 on target and only 2 goals. May have been more spirit but shot conversion rate still a big problem

Same shitty end product/finishing that led to us not competing for the league. If we had a player like Rvp they'd be getting 30, 40+ goals a season easily. Frustrating to watch knowing that one switch of the button would have led to (fucking relegated) Wigan being beat on sat.

Did anyone watch the game? Of the 18 that didn't go in I would say 10-12 of them were top class saves. Hey here is an idea (not directed only at you mate), let's just continue to be negative about everything....

Or we could practice aiming the ball at the goal instead of the keeper

Actually we should aim directly at the keeper when he is standing still, he kept diving and making the saves.

No offence taken though you 1)conveniently ignore my positive comment and 2) can't argue that the shots to goals converion rate has been an issue all season and for whatever the reason, tonight underlines that.

Agree their keeper made some good saves, the fact that he saved 20 goal bound efforts says something about him, as I've acknowledged on the MOM thread.
