What was Bobby"s biggest mistake?

What was Bobby"s biggest mistake?

Postby PeterParker » Tue May 14, 2013 12:01 pm

All is done now, he left, but it is really his club performance?

What do you lot think, what cost him the most?

I am going with the fact that imho he didn"t have a real backing from our boys. The Mario saga, the Tevez saga and so on.

Spending a combined £70 million on Balotelli, Dzeko and Nasri and then having the gall to complain about a lack of transfer funds.

Acting as a manager like it was still 80's. One of the old breed.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

His machiavellian attempt at a power grab after winning the league. I remember several articles appearing during the summer about him wanting more control over football matters. He pretty much signed his own p45.
VIVA EL CITIES

"The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee ... has banned Mr Joseph S. Blatter ... for eight years and Mr Michel Platini ... for eight years from all football-related activities (administrative, sports or any other) on a national and international level. The bans come into force immediately." - 21/12/2015

Slagging off his players in public....Hart, Kompany, Richards, Tevez, Nasri...whoever else.....suicidal stuff. Sure fire way to undermine your standing with the collective. Sure it will fire up some but others, not at all, an makes you look like a disloyal "it is everyone's fault but mine" cunt.

In my job, where there is a very strict "pyramid" hierachy we were always told that, when you are lower down, if you fuck up then hold your hand up and tell someone. If the fuck up has managed to impact clients that is the fault of those higher up the chain who should have either spotted it or trained you/supervised you/managed you better so that this kind of thing didn't happen. The message was and is that the buck stops with the man at the top, that's why he is there.

Sure it's about a team and the collective but there is someone in ultimate charge for a reason and he should be man enough to shield those below him from public blame (..even if behind closed doors a different message is conveyed).

That, for me, is where he sowed the seeds of his own demise

he should have executed his escape plan last year and left the world wondering rather than hang around and watch the Barca mafia tear up his plans
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Experimenting with plan b before plan a was established.

Tell me why this team is less effective than the sum it's parts

Last summer's transfer activity, if it was his decision. If not he should've put his foot down and done something about it.

He moaned like fuck all throughout summer. What else could he have done. Probably already saw the writing on the wall.

Never got over the feeble effort at Arsenal in his first season. We got a free go at a win against a depleted Arse and he bottled it, got a 'useless point' and that cost us Champions League that season. It showed us a lot about his mentality.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

And this kind of attitude ruins employees moral and creates resentment and you can forget about going that "extra" mile working for a person with this mentality.

Being "arrogant and vain" according to a former kit man via the Guardian.

• Sacked manager 'made going into work a daily grind'

• Fans did not realise the tension behind the scenes

Plus pretending not to know that politics means more than caring for Your colours and working hard, nowadays in management.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!
