In action again tonight beating Oldham 0-4 in the Manchester senior cup. They finally seem to have found some form, thats four wins on the trot for them now.
Rodwell scored a hat-rick and Suarez got the other. Both Richards and Rodwell got a full 90 minutes it should help get them back up to speed.

I still have a problem writing off Rodwell as some had after his most recent injury. When's he been fit he has been a great option going forward (seems to have a magnet on his head for the ball) and seems to mesh well with yaya with very little match time together. He's young and injuries aren't all his fault.
Also the MCFC twitter said oldham replaced their manger in the second half. I didn't know if they were joking but they seemed to imply this counted as a sub. Just a bit confused if someone could clear that up?
Lastly when we bring up some of these eds players for a try out at the end of the season. I'd like to see a few on the bench or even starting these last few games.

I'm also hopeful Rodders can stay injury free and get a run in the team.He has the potential to be a great player.

The Oldham manager was playing as an outfield player for them tonight, hence how he could be replaced.

"This this real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality...."
He's only young (one if the youngest manager in the top 4 leagues) and this was the Manchester Senior Cup so presumably yes they were short in numbers - no point risking 1st teamers when your battling relegation

isn't league one over apart from the promotion playoffs? still a strange decision for me.
either way, good for rodwell and richards to get a full 90, and it seems rodwell had a great hat trick - header from a set piece, one from open play, and a penalty. really hope he can get it together and have an injury free season next year - every time he gets a decent run out he looks like he has loads of potential and could be a future fixture in the first team.

Actually when he was fit the first time he was terrible, IMO cities worse player, then he got injured. After injury he seemed decent but got injured again lol. I think if he gets injured again, it would have been his last chance im afraid.

Would be a crying shame if rodwell cant get fit, he has so much ability. We saw a glimpse of it against chelsea, he was absolutely immense that day.

This ^
Just what we need in the middle, mobility, strength, height and good passing. Please let him stay fit!
As to the start of the season I think he has said since he was not fully fit and therefore not able to train/play 100% hence some shabby performances.

They need to get to the root of the problem and sort it out. The lad has a terrible time with injuries and like everyone has said, he has great potential.
Use the summer to strengthen his body issues or have surgery on it, whatever it needs and then let him have a crack of the whip.
