Missed a penalty in the last minute to go up. Doncaster broke away and scored and won the league.

Sounds a very similar ending to the Scotland England Euro 96 game. If Brentford fans are anything like me they will be bitter about it for the next 20 years.

Hope they make it through in the play offs. Regardless, Uwe is set for big things.

Disappointed for Uwe. Will be hoping Brighton and Brentford both go up from the play-offs. Fantastic way for the League One season to end, though.

Even the old City at their most "typical" didn't have a heartbreaker like this one, and there were a few. Only the Luton relegation match compares.

It's not quite the same as missing promotion, but the Fowler penalty vs Boro annoyed me for months.

Well, they've still got a chance and they need to pick themselves up for the run-in and the play-offs.

Gutted for Uwe and Brentford. They must be absolutely devastated.

Hopefully they still come up via the playoffs.

I'm sure they showed 2 Brentford players squabbling over who should take the penalty too. Bet the eventual taker wishes he hadn't been quite as vocal now! Good luck to them in the play-offs.

I live about 10 mins form the ground and I was devestated for Brentford. Great FC with a brilliant manager in UWE Rosler. Also Alan Kernaghan is the Assistant and you have Bradley Wright Philips and Saun Logan playing for them. Everything about the club is great their ground is a real throw back as it sits right in the midde of the terraced houses with a pub on every corner of the ground. I hope that they can make it up to the Championship as they deserve it.

Anyone watching Sheff U v Yeovil? Not the most glamorous of games but big game obviously for both teams as either will face Uwe's Brentford in play-off final (hopefully). Just put it on ten mins ago but not much to tell so far..

Into the final 5-4 on penalties, sounded like a City style game, went head, collapsed, extra time hang on and win on pens.

Good luck in the final Uwe.

Congrats to Uwe and Brentford, definitely the better team and should have had the win before extra time. Good luck to them in the final.

They picked themselves up after the Doncaster game, that was such a big kick in the nuts to recover from.

Yeah well done Brentford delighted for them.

Hopfully when Manchini retires in 20 years we could get Uwe in as his replacement.

Uwe would be an appointment that really warm me up, granted the model we have gone by.

He shall certainly would be capable to speak about Blue pride in warm terms and proper English language to any player.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

there must be some truth, then!
