really struggling to get up for this one today.... most exciting thing for me in the build up has been markmak trying to sell his ticket - believe that he is going shopping instead. says it all...

anyway... we'll 2-0 win today....

No you won't! We will!

Or maybe not, eh, given that I can't recall the last time we so much a drew away at your ground. Not content with the revenge on Ashton, you jut won't let that 6th round defeat go, will ya?

Looks like we'll be unchanged from last match, so expect lots of Jarvis crosses onto Carroll's loaf; lots of barely legal challenges from 'Big Andy' in one of his last games for the Hammers and an emphasis on the set piece.

And then, succoured into that routine, watch in horror as Mo Diame leaves you for dead....and scores the consolation goal.

I expect to lose, personally, but we're pretty much safe, so maybe we'll tear up the rule book...

I'm just looking forward to what should be a decent game of football.

No need for either team to sit back and contain...we're pretty much safe in 2nd, you guys are safe. I'd hope we can win this but it's quite nice just to be able to look forward to the game. This season has been pretty fucking stressful.....I actually think that in some ways I enjoyed certain relegation battles more! (that sounds mental I know but I'm just not used to us competing at this end of the table...!!!)

Anyway, hopefully I've grown a pair of top 4 bollocks before next season and we perform a bit better so I don't feel like I've endured 30 games plus of waterboarding

Expecting a difficult game today. We struggled against them last time out and it'll just be a matter of which team turns up. Do we want it or do they want it. Either way, I think the first 20 will give us our answer.

The first twenty minutes aren't our problem. It's the last 20 where we fall apart.
But I hope we turn up and put on a performance.

strange you should think that City don't play until the last whistle . If anything this City team generally play until the end searching for the win.

If Walmai is correct about them capitalising on Carrols aerial threat I think Lescott maybe a better option over Nasti from the out set.

As for pressure and who wants it more, this could be read both ways about us (a) now that title has officially gone pressure will be off us (b) pressure still on us to get 2nd wrapped up.personally I fear Reading away next week more than this one as they will playing without a care in the world after relegation and despite that they have played some good footie this season.

That all said done with the likes of Silva, Kun & the jaw back we should have this wrapped up before halftime oranges, like we should have done at WHL last week!!! On that note have we found a suitor Dzeko yet???

Have Dortmund got any room for a striker?

If they have, why would they want Dzeko ;-)

I'd like to see the last few games used, albeit cautiously, to blood a few of the EDS (last 30 minutes if the points are in the bag etc.).
Also, given their aerial threat from corners and free kicks, it'd be nice to see CP in net today because dealing with the high stuff then distributing quickly and accurately up to our frontrunners is where he stands head & shoulders above JH. In fact it'd be good to give Costel some PL game time for development purposes and to allow him to prove himself so that he can be our number 1 next season if he proves himself to be in better form than JH.
It won't happen though so all I can hope is that Joe emulates Costel today or it could get awkward under the high stuff.

Should thrash these dopes whatever the case so I'm guessing at 3-1 with Joe between the sticks (would be 4-0 if Costel was).
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Aren't we still champions until the league is finished? I dunno how it works but technically if they get deducted points we can retain our title.

Anyway 3-0 now the shackles are off

Good team there. I always prefer Milner starting but as he was injured last week there's no need to rush him back, especially with Silva fit. Glad Lescott is playing, wouldn't fancy seeing Nastasic up against Carroll.

Let's win our last 5 so we're in good shape for the Cup Final. Come on City!

Great team there. Glad to have silva and aguero back. Tevez struggled against Tottenham not having another striker like him playing.
