Falcao / Cavani

So.. with rumours of Cavani to us and Falcao to the rags (And they are only fan rumours) Who do you think would do better in the prem and why?

Could we compare Falcao to Forlan who wasnt great in the prem and argue that Cavani's goals dont necessarily mean he could do it over here either? (Balotelli is scoring for fun over there too) Just a thought.. Sooo much money at stake.

I'd rather falcao because I think he's a trickier customer and has more pace.

Cavani is good but I just don't see him scoring more than falcao in the prem

I think Falcao is smaller (I may be wrong), and Cavani is better in the air. Therefore, assuming Dzeko is off, I would prefer someone bringing some aerial power to the team. So, Cavani would be my choice. I also think Mancini really wants him as he's seemed keen for a while now.

I think we'll get both. Dzeko will go and Tevez will likely go back to Argentina. His wages alone would be a real saving and could be used to pad the pay packets of both Falcao and Cavani, especially when you factor in saving Dezeko's and Balotelli's wages. I think Mancini wants 3 big signings to make a proper run at the PL and CL. 2 strikers for sure and probably soemone along the Gotze, Isco or Eriksen lines.

However, I think Mancini wants Suarez. But that question has been done on here, so whatever.

Falcaos finishing is brilliant but his dribbling and control isnt great. While Cavani is good at both to a high standard.

Tevez isn't leaving. Cavani may come. Falcao will not.

Isco cavani and a wide player for me. Sell jayko sinclair and nasri. Net spend after including balo proceeds is less than 25m I bet.

We already have Aguero, so someone of bigger stature like Cavani may be a good fit at city

I'd rather have Falcao. Aerial prowess? Hello? Falcao is a known header of the ball.

If I had a choice though, Falcao and Cavani with Dzeko going and Tevez also rumoured to be on his way out. Isco and/or Gotze for midfield as well if we're getting rid of Nasri and Sinclair.
Maybe add Hummels to that for another defender.

We need atleast 1/2 solid wide players. Our game is too narrow with no plan b.

Dzeko scored alot in the Bundesliga but did not do exceptionally here. I don't think that is because he is a bad player, it is because our team and playstyle is not suited to have big men up front.

We ALWAYS look better with Aguero/Tevez than Dzeko/whomever.

Because of that I am sceptical to Cavani, if he plays like a target striker. I think it would be alot easier to incorporate a player of Falcao's style into our team, and as mentioned he is a really good header of the ball.

However I am sceptical to both of them because of age and price. They are 26 (Cavani) and 27 (Falcao) which means that after their contract is up (4-5 years) They'll have a limited sell-on value.

I'd MUCH rather spend the 50m either of them will cost on two young great talents. If Guidetti comes good next season we'll have a decent set of strikers even if one leaves.

Won't that push Nasty out of the team?

If i have to choose 1. Falcao all day.

Hopefully we will just buy him and cavani though to replace balo and dzeko and smash some fucking records next year.

If we sell Dzeko that will be the bigges mistake we can make. The fucker must stay no mather what. Tevez may go again awol while Sergio could get a nasty injury then what?

It is almost impossible to decide from those two, but Falcao to the rags will be something i really do not want.

I like more Falcao, but i don't know how he will do in the Premier. In Spain every team attacks, so he had a lot of spaces and in Portugal too, while Cavani was a beast in the country that invented parking the bus, so i think he is the better choice + i do not recall him having fitness problems.

But either way, you want Cavani or Falcao? You need a player that can provide them crosses, real crosses and at that part, we are shit at the moment, so we need a big name here. Of course, the Chimp, but that is almost impossible. A Lennon, Walcottesque type of player.

since the question was who would do better in the prem, not which one id want at City, i think Falcao will.
for some reason I think Cavani is only on a tear cuz of the league he's in, much like Balo.

Every time I've seen him play I've been impressed with Falcao's workrate, and if we lose Tevez we need someone we can rely on to put a shift in. I'm certain he would be a success in England and at City, but not as certain with Cavani.

Cavani's work rate is also very good. To be honest i'd be happy with either or both. I have a feeling though that we will get Cavani and the chavs will get Falcao. I remember reading Falcao's father is a huge chelski fan.

Lots of reports circulating that a deal for Cavani to PSG is done, 4 year deal.

Hope this isnt true. We cant be so slow off the mark again.

Not watched a great deal of either tbf. However as I've said we really need a powerhouse Drogba/ Shearer type player who can bully defences and offer us a genuine plan B. Don't know if either Cavano or Falcao match that role.
