Didn't say anything I could disagree with, to be honest. He said the owners will give Mancini 12 months max meaning if they still like what they see then they'll continue to back him, not that he'll definitely be out by then. Much as a lot of posters have said on here.

It would be a long long time before I started making noise for Mancini's sacking. He gave us 3 trophies so far, more than I thought I would ever see in my lifetime, everything else is gravy.

This is what we need to remind ourselves from time to time. No one likes being second best but fuck me it's better than being second worse...

It won't be either of you who make that decision though it will be the bosses, & they will probably look at it exactly as Barnes says; give him another season to get back on track, but that could possibly become 6 months if he starts badly next season.

I agree that it will be down to our owners who have only recently given the guy a new 5 year deal. Can't see him going anytime soon tbh as they seem very keen not to be lumped in the Abramovich type boat to me.

Seems to be giving him more time than some of us lot.

I think it is more to do with stupid tinkering and decisions what seems to annoy people more than coming second best. for example, our CL attempt this season can purely be blamed on mancini. I'd rather him stop thinking with his ego and do something that works, still no call for a sacking yet.

Football pundit Tor-Kristian Karlsen made an excellent point on Twitter last night, responding to slimeball Ian Mcgarry's tweet that Mancini looks like Ranieri in the final stages of his reign at City - not a good comparison as Mancini has won stuff that Ranieri dreams of.
Anyways, after Mcgarrys usual shit stir the retort came "My guess is that Mancini's future is more frequently discussed in the press box than in Man City's boardroom." Sums it up nicely.

is it me or has he changed his attitude lately? More supportive of players who are doing a job, praising players better in general, better attitude at pressers
I always thought his main weakness was his attitude, maybe he is adjusting it ?

I liked Barnes as a player and I liked everything he said in this interview. He was spot on with his analysis.

And here's me thinking the author of "Flaubert's Parrot" was Chirping in with his opinion. Where do they drag these people out from under?

He sounded better with his acceptance speech as young player of the year

Can't disagree with anything he has said. Bob will get another shot at champions league, but if he fucks that up again he will be gone.

He didn't say anything that hasn't been discussed on here already.
Nice guy is our peter.
Had a great few hours swigging pints with him a couple of seasons back. What game was that Gillie??
Anyway, super nice chap. Felt a bit sore that the club didn't get him involved like they did a few others but he loved it at city.
Where are those photos with him? Fuck, I lose everything.

Slim, you're a bright lad, don't fall into that "three trophies/Community Shield" crap.

You have got no idea what they are thinking. None whatsoever. Very few do and those few are not going to go on sky sports to tell everyone. Barnes is giving his opinion and that is all it is, just as you are and with no more authority.
Why do people think the owner demands instant and constant success? He clearly has his own agenda.
I find it interesting that the media (and now some City fans) are projecting the attitude of Chelsea's stereotypical big-money-no-patience owner onto ours, when the truth is none of them have got any idea what he is going to do. Wishful thinking perhaps, certainly from the shithouses in the media. The only thing they have actually got in common is that they put money into the game. Chelsea's owner has appointed numerous managers and hung them all out to dry, including the current geezer, despite trophies. Ours has sacked one bloke they didn't appoint in the first place and gone on to back the man he did put in the job with gargantuan sums of money - and he has delivered the FA Cup and the Title, plus the Charity Shield, which could of course be irrelevant depending on precisely what the owners want and expect.
