They need to rehire De Matteo in a caretaker for the sacked caretaker role.

What a performance from Samaras. I know he was awful for us but he has constantly performed well for Celtic and Greece at the highest level. He tends to go walkies in the SPL but you can do that when you play for Celtic.
Incredible achievment from Celtic. Great for the profile of the Scottish game. Hopefully their participation in the CL will keep the SPL as interesting as it has been this season.

Yeah gorgeous won it for Celtic tonight.
There is another former City player who made it into the last 16 with his club. Who ?

Great to see Celtic get through, nobody gave them a chance. Samaras was the MotM for me but Lennons passion for that club really shone through.
I couldn't help but wind the Celtic fan up in the bar though, he did the same to me last night. And he bit ;-0

Lennon drinks in my local pub. I see him in there quite a bit, never felt the need to speak to him but the minute word gets out he is in there the place fills up with people wanting to meet him. Given the history he has in Glasgow and that he was seriously assualted merely a few blocks away I think it is great that he is not in the slightest bit bothered to be seen socialising in ordinary pubs.
It would drive me nuts having people I dont know interupting a quiet pint with a few mates every few minutes but he takes time to speak to everybody that comes up to him.

He loves it really and although I can't stand his pre/post match interviews, you can tell he's a pure football fan.

Agree to an extent. Samaras had decent ability but no heart, and that'll get you nowhere in the Premier League.
Take heed Marouane Chamakh and Bryan Ruiz.
