Over coached you having a laugh, no footballers are 'over coached'.
What is it they 'work' these days?

They need a fucking reality check some of them.

At this level players shouldn't need motivating. What greater motivation can there be then the opportunity to win trophies and write their names in City folklore

I think intensity is what we are lacking both with and without the ball. When we have it there aren't enough players making runs to the ball and away from the ball.It seems it's all about standing in a position and expecting it to be delivered without realising the defender knows what's going to happen and cuts it off.

When we don't have the ball we just seem to let them drift off us play one twos under no pressure at all and if they fancy crossing the ball we just let them.

I honestly think there are many managers that would do better than Mancini with the tools he has at his dsposal.
Moyes for one would not have fucked around with a defence that was the best in the UK and one of the best in Europe.

Mancini has also proven to be one the worst (if not worst, taking into account the teams that he has managed in this comp) fuckign coaches that I can think of in Europe.

He might have won us the prem and FA cup but he has embarrassed us to fuck in Europe. The point im making is its nothing to do with overcoaching, its more to do with him fuckign up an engine that was already primed for a race.

Agreed. Our owners didnt buy us to do well domestically. It is small change if you look at the big picture. I honestly believe with this squad in this league any manager worth his salt could finish 2nd. Three points and no wins in a group that contained Ajax is embaressing.

He may get his P45 at the end of the season because of this regardless what we do now. Can you honestly say his record in Europe suggests he can do any better?

With Mourinho looking to be on the move it and the Chelsea gig being up for grabs there will be a managerial merry go round with manangers at the end of the season and I fully expect us to be on it.

Imo, he is a very clever bloke who has a possibly unparallelled depth of knowledge & ideas about football but he is also a very self centred, egotistical bloke who wants to win games by his own genius, like he did as a player, rather than trusting the players to do it. If it doesn't work, he will do it again & again because he is always right.

Imo, he thinks the players are interchangeable & that if they follow his instructions, they should win every game no matter who he picks. But players are only human, & make mistakes. Give them too much to think about & they get everything wrong. That was so obvious tonight when he changed to 3 at the back; every player went to pieces. Decent teams just eat us alive.

Imo, there will be a clause in Bob's contract re Europe. Khaldoon is too smart to miss that.

There will be a decision to make at the end of the season & Guardiola will be a factor under consideration.

Personally, I think sacking Bob would be a bigger gamble than keeping him, but I've read the thoughts of our football director re Pep, & he basically thinks the sun shines out of his arse. He thinks the bloke is a genius. They have to make a decision either to ditch Bob, or miss out on Guardiola, probably for ever.

HRH is watching these games on TV & will absolutely be just as unimpressed as most of us with the Euro shambles. Imo, if he gets a recommendation to change the manager, he will do it.

I say again: I would keep him. Not just any fucker can take a team to the title, but I recon he's on thin ice.

(If I was going to change it & had Pep lined up, I am a proper cunt & I would do the same thing they did with Hughes: sack him as soon as he has a bad run in case he gets it right & wins the league again)

You may well be right on Pep, Mate.
Just, for truth's sake, the mere Idea to put Mark Hughes in a comparative sentence with Roberto Mancini is a piss take/wind up/ funny joke. (tick as appropriate)
Their managerial history shall continue to run the same way:
one is a proven winner able to build great sides from foundations, in spite of whatsoever Marwood;
the other is a money waster who shall never win a trophy should his managerial career lasts forever.

That's irrelevant.

The reason they sacked Hughes at that time rather than at the end of the season was, imo, not because they were desperate to get top 4 & had to act, but because they had decided he wasn't the man for the job & wanted to get rid quickly in case he did get top 4 & they were stuck with him. I think that was Khaldoon, not Cook/Marwood. They just followed orders. I don't think Cook even knew til about a week before; he was still telling the press how great Hughes was and how he was the future.

It's not impossible Mancini could face the same. If they leave him in charge for the full season, there's a pretty big chance he'll win the league & then how can they fire him ? I'm not sure they could, even if they wanted to.

If, on the other hand, we had a bad spell over Christmas & slipped behind in the race.. who would complain apart from a few of us ?

This could be a crucial spell for Bob & a few good wins could guarantee him another shot at the Chumps League next season.

If he lifts the players for weekend, it could get the wagons rolling.

If Pep wants to sit out until the season is over then he will do that, however, i believe he's a man who's got a job he wants and is just lying in wait either for the club to come calling OR to just step in as he has an agreement in place to come in whenever they call him up.

He could only have the latter with one club.

cheers

As I said, mate, You may well be right on Pep. Did You notice that i wasn't at my best social mood, last night?... ;)

I seem to have already mentioned that I rate him as a Person (all important) and as a very clever footballer.
He certainly should have to pass through an adjustment to the English Game but I am convinced that he is shrewd enough to take no longer than Bob did at it.
My personal concern, on what You rightly call a risk/bet, is about how he will cope and improve City effectiveness to unlock parked buses and game plans mainly focused on suffocating our sources, with only a Citizen Xavi (David Silva) but no Inesta and, massively more important no MESSI! can You wonder how many problems we have solved through his glorious accelerations?

Same would apply to my own favourite for a potential change, Jürgen Klopp: Great manager with proved track records of success in a demanding league, how would he cope with big egoes, instead of home grown talents and with all the loving Media-Care pressure around City?

Well, anyway, let's not forget that I am convinced I will have plenty of seasons ahead, before asking the Lads for a nick change... :)
