In the short term I dont think it helps us one bit, given we are playing them next. New manager effect always takes hold on a set of players so even though the rumours point to Rafael "Go Compare" Benitez coming in, I'd have preferred them to hold off sacking him until after sunday.

Roman clearly sees that if City were to win on sunday it would put Chels 7 points behind, which may be a gap too far for them.

Maybe they'll poach Mark Hughes? We got a lot of stick for sacking him :-)

If Pep is not available till the end of the season, who the hell will they appoint?

I think this might be good for City, no way theyre gonna get it together till sunday.

They'll probably put the Fat One and the Rascist in charge as an interim measure

To echo Carl's (at least I think it was his) sentiment: Teams like Chelsea and Real Madrid are the ultimate proof that with a lot of cash, there's no need for stability. I mean, they've had 6 managers and it's brought them constant qualifications to the Champion's League as well as the play offs, one league win and they've been runners up twice, three FA-cups, one final in the league cup and two finals in the Champions league of which they won one. That's an amazing haul from 5 years and they've not had any stability what so ever.

I'm not saying that I don't prefer patient owners like ours because I do. I'm just saying that the stability-argument can be thrown out the window when you have a lot of dosh.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

this is shit!!

it took forever for them a appoint him in the first place, they probably felt guilty and had to do it, as he's the only one that has won them the champions league (after 9 years of trying) and they were waiting for the first bad run so they can get rid of him.

there only 4 points off top spot aswell!!

Trying to get any logic on the way RA runs his own toy is just useless.

What only and always pissed me off is that all the shite thrown at City since the ADUG takeover is nothing short of the portrait of Chelsea FC, but has nothing to do with the wise, balanced way which is deemed on the running down of MCFC.

With Balague and Marcotti claiming it isnt Benitez, then Redknapp looms on the horizon as caretaker - given he's tried to sign just about every footballer in the world over the past 5 years, he has an ideal knowledge to take over.

It suggests they must be moving early for Guardiola.

It begs the question of who signed the players ? Has Pep been picking them; that seems unlikely ? If not Pep, then it must be this Eugene Tannenbaum character along with Abramovic who is deciding on their signings, otherwise how can they allow a manager to spend that kind of money then sack him after a couple of defeats ?

Other than Pep, I'm not sure where Chelsea can go from here. And if Pep fails ?

I predicted this when Hazard signed for them; he is a fucking idiot.

Imagine if the Sheikh hadn't come to City ? The rags would just use this to cruise to yet another piss easy title. And people say we are ruining football ? Without us, it (the Premier League) wouldn't even be a fucking competition.

Ted, do Your really think that someone, other than RA, decides anything serious at CFC?

Someone must advise him on players, so I presume it's this Tannenbaum character who gives him the names at present.
