Kompany has been just as bad as lescott. I don't remember hart making a save so far this season either.

Defensively Lescott is first rate....as soon as he has the ball at his feet I would say he is just above conference standard.
If Nasti can do the former part 3/4 as well and the second part better......I'd be tempted to switch

I am more worried about the right side of our defence in that game. Lescott will do fine with Higuain, i have no worries there, my problem is neither Zabs or Maicon can stop Tranny, they don't have the speed for him and Vinnie still is a bit tired imho.

Lescott is currently defending & passing better than Vinny.
Vinny looks scared to death on the ball & is hiding, Lescott is going looking for it offering an out ball when others are in trouble. Vinny isn't.

Hard to argue otherwise....but that doesnt get lescott off the hook as he has been at fault more than Vinny since the latter part of last season, I mean todays goal was 1000% his fault.

Good idea throw a 19 year old kid who has never played a game for us yet into the bernabeu, Maybe you should be managing us.

Lescott and Kompany have both been poor this season. Not sure which I'd drop first, tbf!

Today's goal was Clattenbergs fault. If you swing a foot at Crouch waist high whilst he's handling the ball, he'll get a penalty out of it. Then the clearence was blocked with his arm.
No ref EVER gives a striker the advantage if the ball hits his arm in the box when a defender kicks it. Never, ever. If that had been Lescott, doing the same, Clattenberg would have given a fucking penalty.

Can't argue about their goal, it was clearly handball. Lescott, however, looks absolutely dreadful. He looks like he's on rollersaktes every time the ball goes to him. Vinny is having a mre too, which is truly odd. I was more concerned about the massive gaps in front of our back line and the space we gave Stoke on their occasional forays into our 3rd. All said, we shoudl have won. yaya normally rips the net with that one he engineered brilliantly for himself and Szeko was unlucky at the end. Garcia too with that header.
Really unhappy with the form we are showing, but we got draws at Anfield and Stoke last season, so it's par. 2 of our least favourite away games are now done and another Clattenburg match has been survived. We're 4th and unbeaten. Silver linings, I suppose.
Now, the lads need to up it and find some form and we'll get on a roll and see what everyone else can do.

Yep, i think the only solid defender this start of the season was Clichy.
Vinnie, Lesco, Zabs and Toure were having problems that looked like the ones in Hughes era.
On the other hand, Joey is having a terrible time imho. I really can't remember his last save and those passes he had with Maicon and Vinnie was dreadful.
If you ask me, the main problem is that they had every preseason game in that different system that Bobby wanted, the 3-5-2 and now they are having problems adjusting back to what they were used to be.

I think that's part of it, but I think all the international bollocks has also interfered with pre season & early season training. To debut 3 players v Stoke & Clattenberg away is quite a gamble as well.
If it's to be proved a correct gamble, we need to get something in Madrid.

If I was, I would have no problem putting in an international player in place of Lescott...none at all.
