I'm not surprised to see him playing in a CL final. He was never that bad but was a popular scapegoat for all the knobs.

Are you kidding? He was fuckin shite! Probably up there with one of the worst defenders I've seen for City.

He was infinitely better than Nastystitch, who everybody wanted to wank over but was actually pretty useless.

I think the issue with Savic, Nasty and possibly even Boateng is we got them too young for the instant results we expected.

But let's face it, none of them showed enough to warrant keeping them.

Furthermore, he's better than what we have now.
Savic was a classic City scapegoat and his lack of ability was hugely exaggerated. We chased out a decent player AGAIN. We never learn.

I've heard it all now. Savic was terrible. He showed no potential whatsoever. At least with Mang he's showing that potentially in the future he'll be good - actually in some matches he's shown that he has the ability to be a top top defender. Otter was considered the best defender in La liga at the time. Is Savic?

Cannot be serious. Was barely able to master left then right when running, let alone be a top class centre half. He may have improved, I don't see Athletico often, but he was fucking shite on a stick at ours,.

He has done pretty well from the moment he left us. The evidence suggests that it's you talking shit and smoking Herb.
The crowd did an Edghill on him, destroying his confidence. It never helps.

Doing well in a completely different league to the Prem must erase all the shite he produced for City?

So Pogba leaving the UK and doing well in Italy means nothing, and we wouldn't gladly spunk a ton of cash on bringing him back to the UK?

But you're talking about a league where Otamendi looked world class!! No one's mentioned the Italian league.

Otamendi was considered one of the best defenders in Spain when we bought him. And earlier you've implied Savic is better than anyone we have. So is Savic considered one of the best defenders in Spain at the moment? The answer is no. So obviously Otamendi is a better player than him.

You're not making any sense and it seems you just want to add random posts in to continue the argument, when you're clearly wrong.

Pogba never played here to be assessed.

Savic was very good last night but to say you saw it in him at city is of nostradamus proportions.

I always said he wasn't as bad as he was made out to be. I maintain the scapegoating helped destroy his confidence.
I compared him to a young player who didn't make the grade here and moved to Italy and gained a good reputation.
I don't think that's entirely unfair.

Both Savic and Boatang give hope that with the right coaching that both the Other and Mangle can become the bed rock of our defense.
