They are up against a decent side in Cameroon in their final match, and if they lose, likely go out of the competition

Fingers crossed.
what a shit competition. I see why baconchops rarely entertained players from africa due to this silly comp.

You get someone good and they leave when you most need them.

Well it's an older competition than the European Championships and you can hardly expect them to hold a competition in Africa in summer. That'd be like holding the world cup in the Middle East in June, which is clearly such a ridiculous idea, no one would suggest it.

Why not? It is being held in central Africa this year and so it would make no difference whether it was summer or winter staged.
Furthermore as the equator and both tropics of Cancer and Capricorn cross through Africa, again it would not matter. At this time the sun is directly over a part of Southern Africa making it their summer time but the tournament has been held in the Southern Hemisphere on many occasions and certainly does not exclude a country like South Africa from hosting it.

Correct.

On a climate note ,when I lived in SA I played every week and its fuckign scorching regardless of summer or winter...everyone's used to it.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

The most ridiculous thing is its played every two years. Every four years should be enough.

hopefully this happens but doesn't deflate Yaya and Bony's spirits having been knocked out again

I think if they do go out then Bony will be straight back bu have a feeling there will be some excuse from Yaya as to pan it out another week.

I'm also sceptical about the timing of his return and even if he does come back next week I suspect he won't be in the right frame of mind to play against Chelsea.

I think the club said he would not be back for chelsea even if out at the group stage, for some reason. If the Ivory Coast get to the semi then they are there til the end. There is a third/ fourth place play off. In that case Toure will miss hull and Stoke. I'm sure yaya had a week off last time before he flew in the day before Soton away.

Come on Cameroon do your thing.

Yaya as a pro and a long serving City player should see the issues here and come back to help the team out after fucking off for three weeks at a vital stage of the season.

Or he wont win a trophy.

The simple fact is we need to avoid defeat on Saturday to stay in this thing.

So if Ivory Coast loose on Wednesday they are out. Even if that happens cant see him being able to play Saturday, even if he wanted to.

According to one report in the press(telegraph i think) if Ivory Coast are knocked against Cameroon City have a private jet ready to bring Yaya and Bony back in time for the Chelsea game.

What happens if they all draw 1-1?

Currently all the teams in their group are on 2 draws, 2 goals for/against.

I have followed these games very closely and during a brief moment when I was awake they said if Ivory get 1-1 and the other game is 2-2 then the other two teams go through on goals scored. If both 1-1 then draw lots as has been said already.
