Fantastic young CB......Id have him in an instant.

So you want to replace Lescott with an injury-prone centre-back who can't defend. Is that right?
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Finding a world class CB isnt easy, Vermaelen would be an amazing signing
I can see a great belgium partnership there..
Lets hope Mancini has a new man for the job.

Quality.

On a list of centrehalves you would have instead of Lescott, is anyone's name not on there?

Those 3 I thought of straight away but I agree getting a decent CB isn't easy....... I'm probably brutal with Lescott but the cunt just keeps throwing ammunition in the fire for me to have a pop again. He cost us 3 points in 2 massive games (without going back in the past to highlight other fuckups) and people can say whatever they like but that's the brutal truth.

Piquet best in the world in his position, Both VK and JL have had it tough in the Champs League, 1st season so no drama, that said De Jong was missed and not match fit in Naples, when we could have been mullered.

little bit of a dodgy season but seems to have a formed a great partnership with Demichelis.

happy that he got a goal today.

wonder how a new center back in the offseason will affect his form next season

Well according to the reports floating around, we've already signed Mangala, so I can only assume he would be first choice alongside Kompany, but Demi is as able a 3rd choice as anyone in this league has.

The central defender will reportedly be handed a £200,000-a-week, six-year deal in order to keep him out of the clutches of suitors including Barcelona

Manchester City are reportedly preparing to offer captain Vincent Kompany a massive new contract worth up to £65m to keep him at the club.

The central defender will be handed a £200,000-a-week, six-year deal, according to the Sun.

If he accepts, the 28-year-old could be set to end his career at the Etihad.
