Yet again at Anfailed we have been tucked up by sub standard officials firstly Reina not put off secondly just about every foul we commit gets a yellow card culminating in super Mario being sent off for feckall and Charlie Adam allowed to kick anything he likes, sometimes the ball.
The ref today couldnt book Mario quickly enough its like he was writing his own headlines, the Anfailed 12th man
Its about time the commentators on the game stopped arse licking the bin dippers and saw them for what they are,a spent force living on yester years teams,
all the bin dippers bleat on about is "our history",well fair play what about your future?ours looks good can you say the same?
Rant over but still pissed off,and if theres a better keeper than JH25 then I for one would like to see him.

Atkinson took the piss but Suarez and Downing ran us ragged. We've got to stop.defending like dickheads and get back to.basics.
Fuck the ref,if we do our job he won't matter.

Its hard for our defenders when they hear whistles in their head, every time Suarez comes within a yard of them: they have to keep jockeying him and be sure the referee gets an unimpeded view of his antics.
Having said that given there was at least three or four occasions did his swandive which didn't win him frees, how come Atkinson didn't book him for 'simulation'?
Effectively it meant Atkinson knew what he was doing, but didn't want to risk the wrath of the fans

'Doing our job' involved Vinnie pressing Suarez (ahead of the defensive line) as soon as the ball headed his way - pressuring him into mistakes or putting him off from turning and running at the defence - impossible for Vinnie to do when the ref buys nearly every dive that buck toothed bottle-opener sells inevitably resulting in an early yellow for Komps. I want to punch that little turd in his teeth so badly.

you would have a hard time saying that Jinky is head and shoulders above Downing based on today's display, wouldn't you say?
i thought the entire back line was asking to ship some goals today and we easily could have lost by a couple -- we got really damn lucky that Joseph Hart saved our bacon more than once, and that Liverpool are actually incredibly inefficient and poor in the final 1/3rd.
cheers

x2 Doomeh,Where has the solidity gone recently? Granted we haven't leaked loads of.goals. BUT.......
We look as open as dam knocking shop and shaky as fook.
It's an area Bobby and Kiddo need to look at as being tight at the back is the way forward.

Suarez was a disgrace. How many dives is one player allowed to make? Unbelievable.
Our defence will look shaky when Yaya Toure ambles about, amongst others, failing to close down and support the back line. Looked like he couldn't be arsed to me. Bring back NDJ, he gives us steel and helps cover the back line.
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

Atkinson was a bit clever with Mario. If he gives him a straight red, we can challenge it and show him up for the incompetent (or bent) twat he is. Not that we'd win of course. As it is we can't challenge 2 yellows, Balo gets sent off for his "attitude" and is a notch in Atkinson's bedpost. The good thing is he only misses Tuesday, I think.
I'd be interested in knowing how many times, out of a season that is only 13 games old, has Atkinson reffed the Scousers? At least 3 times which seems a bit disproportionate to me.

i agree with the op, and some other comments, ive just had the displeasure of listening to
graham poll on talkshite, confirmed united should not have had a penalty even criticising the ref
at the swamp for liasing with the lino. then they went on about our game,
his words, ballotelli was an accident waiting to happen before he came on to the pitch.
with that stupid haircut, and atkinson was right to send him off, and we know skyrtel was milking it
but all players do that, actually condoning the fact the players cheat.
and why always me he said because your stupid thats why mario.
polls words, and people say theres no bias, absolute disgrace, thats the same ref who said if a player
wins the ball then takes the man its still a foul unbelievable.

If someone's haircut is influencing a referee's decision making then he isn't fit to referee IMO.

No. He did fuck all most of the time. Liverpool fans aren't impressed with him on the whole at all.
Atkinson was poor but was put under immense pressure by a whinging crowd & a cheating team. Everton fans are the same. I wonder what they have in common.

Just one question, if anybody can answer:
If Mario committed a foul in the form of an elbow to the face then surely this is classed as dangerous play. Dangerous play is then deemed a Red Card offence so why did he only get a 2nd yellow?

You're absolutely right. It was a bollocks decision even by his own logic.
This won't go down well, but in my opinion the only referees who've shown themselves remotely capable of handling the really big, high-intensity games are Howard Webb and Mike Dean.

I've got to admit, I used to fuckin mate Mike Dean!! Don't know whether it's because he looks like a cross between Ian Beale and Pee-wee Herman, but used to despise him! Recently though I've come to the conclusion he's one of the stronger refs around who aren't intimidated by the home crowd or players running in his face.

How very dare you suggest that Micah Richards wasnt all controlling, all mighty and all powerful throughout, many on this forum would have your guts for garters.
