Hey! First time poster - another tale of a lonely City fan, outcast by his town which is full of disillusioned devils, yapping yids and grotty gooners. Just to get the ball rolling I thought I'd share a story with you about a former Manchester City captain who is probably the greatest sportsperson that you've never heard of. Honestly I would have thought this was someone having me on had I not researched it but it all checks out. Absolute winner!!

Anyway, looking forward to getting involved with the MCFC community and hopefully being a regular poster!!

Welcome, I see your of the red allegiance. Fans of all clubs are welcome here as long as they debate the topic in hand and dont resort to idiocy.

Hey there, wonderwall. So rude of me not to thank you for that welcome. Four days into this community and it's getting fun. Thanks again.

Saw I was supposed to introduce myself as a newbie so here it goes!

I'm an Oklahoman who has been really getting into watching Man City...

It can be hard to follow here in the U.S.A. and being in the heartland all they really care about here is American football, so finding any fellow fans has been a struggle!

I grew up playing right wing as the only girl on an all boys team in my hometown and always had a soft spot for the sport. I'm a bit of a legacy fan with MCFC as my mother, when stationed in the UK while she served in the Army back in the early 80's, religiously followed the boys in blue and sat attendance cheering for them at the Maine Road stadium.

Recently my love for the game was re-kindled by an Aussie friend of mine who got me back into watching matches and I fell for the sport again and Man City hard. I'm really glad he turned me onto the forums here so I can connect with seasoned fans and supporters and learn more about the international community and the team I'm adoring!

Welcome. No need to look for Carl, just post about how great our centre backs are and as if by magic, he will find you.

No Kolarov has a different stalker.
Just keep going Kolo instead of Kola and he'll find you.

I suspect I am a grandpa in City terms compared to most of you members but felt it was only polite to introduce myself having just joined . My first season was 1957/58 aged seven and I started going to City as Bert Trautmann was a family friend in Bramhall where I lived and he organised tickets for me and my mother for the last two games of that season which I think were against Villa 2-2 and Leicester 3-1 . We needed three points to stay up and in those days a win was worth two points so we just managed it.

I have been hooked ever since and this is either my 58th or 59th consecutive season watching our beloved team. My son and daughter are die hards and Louise's first ever game was the 5-1 derby victory ! Best moment as a City fan ,watching us win the old first division title at Newcastle in 1967/68 4-3 .Worst moment watching Alan Ball's arrogance destroy us .

I am not a fan of Pellegrini I have to admit as he has allowed the team to become too aged and is patently reluctant to give the youngsters a chance . Playing Bony last Saturday just summed him up for me as surely Faupala deserved a start given his performance against Cahill and Ivanovic v Chelsea in the FA Cup. He showed desire, aggression , effort and pace, attributes completely lacking with Bony.

Sadly we are neither good enough or deserving of the PL title this year. Injuries to key players have been an issue but with our squad we should still have performed better. I have seen some great City centre backs over the years, Dave Watson was the best, but Otimendi and Mangala for the money they cost are shockingly inept. West Ham's second goal at Upton Park recently sums up Otimendi for me.Third place has to be our realistic aim and then we need a clear out over the summer.

I will be looking forward to reading all of your comments and contributions to this forum.

Welcome philip. Nice post

Welcome Philip. You sound on the money, to me.
Loved Dave Watson.
I wouldn't have started Faupala ahead of Iheanacho, but I'd have given him a second go ,since the Chelsea game, ahead of Bony no problem.
Wade in with wisdom, mate.
