Sunday's Premier League Games

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Sunday's Premier League Games

Postby colonel_muck » Sun Jan 16, 2011 1:45 pm

It's 1-1 in the midlands and Newcastle are looking good for an away win against the mackems, with the score currently 1-0. Soon we have the cracking atmosphere but shite football of the scouserside derby with pressure already mounting on the latest messiah kenny dalglish. Amazing that none of these games affect us in anyway. Of course all city eyes will be praying for our second most hated rivals to maybe not roll over for our most hated (and relevant table-wise) rivals. I harbour absolutely no hope that spurs will do us a favour, harry redknapp is very much in fergie's gang and though i don't actually believe that teams roll over for united, tottenham never beat them. should be a good day of football none the less.

Impressive from Torres - outmuscled Distin, turned Heitinga only to put it onto the post. Kuyt should've knocked in the rebound.

Good game, just like the Sunderland/Newcastle one.

That Birmingham derby was actually really entertaining. I thought all four centre-halves had great games. Dunne and Collins looked as solid as last season and are definitely their best pairing.

This Liverpool midfield has a chronic lack of pace. Watch Everton tear forward everytime Kuyt plays a shit pass to Lucas or Meireles.

Good game, just like the Sunderland/Newcastle one.

Nice moves from torres there but that rebound should have been hit much better, should be 1 nil up, but I still have faith for Everton to win this

Good save, post then goal. Why fuck though - Liverpool's position shouldn't really impact on us.

Re Cahill, Liverpool don't have Gerrard. Or Carragher, even if he's been rubbish this season.

yes but the thing is everton are nowhere near as reliant on cahill as liverpool are on gerrard. everton are weaker without him, but still solid. liverpool have been a mid table team for the last four years every time gerrard doesn't play.

Agreed good first save not much he coulda done. And fuck just because i like to see Liverpool lose - but this game is exciting its all over the place, hope Everton can get an equaliser soon theyve been getting a couple good chances, lots of give aways on both sides though.

the merseyside derby started out pretty even but since liverpool scored they've been the only team in it. never over at 1-0 though. especially when you have players like arteta and fellaini.

Everton has as big chance in this one as a snowball in hell.

EDIT********* Spurs will be destroyed by an excellent Rag eleven ;)
