"Spurs fan, hunh. I follow the Premier League too."
"Don't you Yanks use the English Premier League."
"I follow Man City."
"Well, how can you be a Citizen when it is a town you've never even been too.
There just are just a shit Northern club."
I can't say these quote everything he said, but that's the jist of it.
Don't know what part of England this douchebag was from either.
But I immediately went back inside and made sure he will never get a
job for our company or any others we provide security for.
I've taken a lot of negative shit over the years from US fans but this
was the first time I caught shit of this type.
Do many PL fans feel this way about the foreign fan base?? I can understand
if you hate a rival club, but question a fan's loyalty because of their country of origin??
What kind of shit argument is that??

Good lad !!! I gave instructions to my security in one particular Casino to bar any person from entering that was wearing a scum shirt.
True story.

Thanks Carl. I have never done anything like that. I can take abuse of any kind.
But ummm, not like that. And if I'd have punched him out I might have lost my job.

Going forwards, we're going to attract more fans and we need to, to boost income. For a Mancunian, it's not too bad, but for a 'foreigner', including those in London or St Austell, it'll be worse, as you'll be seen as a glory hunter.
So long as there's some glory to hunt, who cares.

I've loved City since Keegan was coach. And I hate to say this, I loved Man City because they weren't viewed as a big club. One of the years I followed the team, we scored like 14 goals at home. I think that is a Premier League record.
I love City because we are proud even when we have lost, that is why a LOT of Americans like City.
No one likes winning if it happens all the time!! But if you support your club anyway, that is all that matters.
My friends have always thought I am daft for supporting City?? Why pick THAT team they say.
I say 'choosing,' has nothing to do with it!!
