Twilight zone moment

West Ham, Saturday and midway through the 2nd half all the stewards move on. New steward gets his seat and plonks it right in front of me in the front row.

He says City are going to score 3 goals today. Nothing special about that maybe, (twas 1-0 at the time). 30 seconds later City scored their second.

10 minutes later, having not spoken to me again, he turns to me, with the ball in the City half and says 'Adam Johnson's going to score now' 10 seconds and 3 passes later Johnson scores.

2 minutes left, I ask him if there are going to be anymore goals as I wanted to leave to catch the tube. He thinks for a couple of seconds, holds his hand up and says 'one more goal'. 30 second later West Ham score. He turns to me ands says 'you can go now'

Just wish I'd asked him for the lottery numbers.

Maybe this should go in the I told you so...attention seeking thread but...even in his 1st game when it was apparent that he still had to adjust to the physicality and speed of the English game, he was taking up some fabulous positions and showed that he had a great football brain.
I said some time ago that i felt that in years to come, we would be lauding Silva as being the team leader on the pitch. I always felt that was the man to lead the team around and act as master strategist. He will be the legend we all remember.
