Mega tin hat time, especially given that I hate the sight of him too, but I think Nani has finally stepped up to the plate at Man United. His absence last Tues was one of the reasons we were able to beat them.

Nasri evidently is having a great time, as is Bale.

I remember that when Bale proved beyond doubt that he was The Best Player In The World Ever by having a good game against Inter, he'd notched up zero assists in the Prem.

I'm assuming he's improved on that since, but people do seem to be getting a bit carried away by the comments of that scrotum-with bloodhound-eyes Redknapp, and some good games in the Chumps.

I'd go with Nasri I reck, based on what I've seen of the Premiership this season. Which isn't enough.

All had awesome seasons so far. Have scored and created goals.

kompany for me has been the only stand out defender of the season so far.
Ashley cole has played awesome but its kind of expected from him so he doesnt really stand out for it.

Edit: seen as most people are just discussing that chimp looking fuckhead, Bale has had a rather shit season on the whole. Just a few good/awesome games. My 2pence.

Bales been quite average in the Prem so I don't know why his name is even being mentioned. For me, I'd go with 4 potentials in this order:

Carlos - goes without saying.
Malouda - great start to the season and is still going strong without Chelsea getting the results.
vdV - has really lit the Prem up and his transition is nothing short of amazing.
Wacko - now Tranny's gone, he sees himself as a real entertainer - shame he's actually getting there!

Nasri would be a close one but he seems to have come into the fray as a late entry. If he carries on with the shit he's pulling, there can be only one!

My choices would be:
Van de Vaart - settled in straight away and is a joy to watch (although will be interesting to see if he can stay fit and keep it up for the season)
Nani - he has really improved this season and is looking like a very good player at the mo
Tevez - just continued on from last season, and his goalscoring record is still fantastic

A few people on here have listed Bale. Can I just ask why? From my perspective, he hasn't stood out in the Prem, although granted the Champions League performances have been great. But as this thread is about the Prem, what has Bale done to deserve the title of 'Premier League player of the season so far'?
