World Cup - So proud of Eddie and CITC [merged]

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

World Cup - So proud of Eddie and CITC [merged]

Postby eastlands-lostboy » Thu Dec 02, 2010 10:39 am

It was tear jerking to hear Eddie talking and I was so proud about how he spoke about our great club. I do not know him but he certainly made a big impact on me with the words of how he got his break with CITC that has been a fantastic thing for the club....well done on the bid England and well done Eddie Akinfade (might be spelt wrongly, sorry Eddie)

it was a top top show. Everyone delivered.
Nice to see plenty of City references, and Eddie was a star, although I wish the bastards had thought of another name for their "big idea" than "Football UNITED".
It does smack a bit of financial enticement to the reps from poorer countries though, or is that just me.
Blatter wringing his hands in glee at the start and very complementary (prick tease) after

Certainly the star of the show. The whole presentation almost brought a tear to my eyes and made me proud.

It was a great presentation and the guys today, Eddie, Cameron, William and Beckham aced it.

Problem is of the 22 sets of ears they were talking to, how many of them were actually open? Still think we lose out but it wouldnt be because of the work those guys did today who did the nation proud.

I echo those thoughts. Eddie was superb, as was David Cameron. The other 3 certainly did our bid no harm either

Wasted on those fucking corrupt cunts. Should have just paid for some whores & stuck a few quid in their bank accounts. If we paid the fucking shithouses enough backhanders, we could have Keith Harris & Orville doing the fucking presentation & we'd still get it.

I think we should have them all killed.

What a fucking joke. Russia? My fucking arse.

Well done Russia. At least that result rules out any possibility of corruption.

Qatar? Should be fun watching people trying to play football in temperatures up to 150 degrees. Great decision FIFA, well thought out. The great footballing nation that is Qatar will be bursting with pride.

I've heard that will just be for the spectators, unless they are planning to build fully covered stadiums? Seems a complete waste of money to me if they are. And what 'legacy' will be left in Qatar which FIFA have always banged on about.

I don't think money is an issue there, just ask any FIFA official, money is plentiful.

I heard that they will be able to reduce the pitch temperature by 20-25 degrees.
