Old Football Grounds

Thought I would share this link with you. I found it very interesting. Great clip of Maine Road on there. A personal interest to me was Chesters old ground. Had a lot more character than the shite stadium that they play in now. Take a look....

Nice one. Just looking at that & Anfield, even Burneden Park etc brings back certainl types memories, perhaps because of the dodgy cinecam etc but it makes me realise that my current 'matchday experience' is a bit shit really.

The Boundary Park one brought back memories as my dad used to take me there when i was a whippersnapper.Another useless piece of info one of the stands was actually in effect the biggest trophy ever won.Oldham won it through the Ford sporting league when they were in the old fourth division.

Non standing stadiums was the death knell for grounds like Maine Road imo.Just think when it was all standing it could hold over 50 thousand so if all seaters had not come in we would still be there imo.

Nice find - I was hoping they'd also have footage of Huddersfield's old ground just to reminisce.
