I would like to see what keegan can do with this bunch of players but I know that's not very likey.
So my choice would be O'Neill just for his experience as he would hit the ground running. Hiddink wouldn't be a bad call either.

No thanks. There is a reason he is at Galatasaray at the moment. Completely unproven imho, yes he won stuff with Barcelona but to be honest my mother would have won the League with the team he had.

I would rate your mother to be competing for the title with the team we have!

That's what I'm hoping for!

I think Mancini will stay with us for years given the chance, and that's one of the things I liked when we did go for him. But do managers change??

Also, I think I started a similar POLL when Hughes was in charge. Or at least I contributed to one. I didn't want him to go, but I always see the need for a contingency plan, as do our owners as we all know. I would have had/would have Wenger in a hearbeat, but I don't think that's possible. I think these guys are possible, so I just wanted to see who everyone's choice would be.

That's all this thread is, I don't want him gone YET!

I would immediately reappoint Mancini and allow him to finish the jod to such a stage that we can make a proper judgement.

If Jack Duckworth failed...I'd go with Vera as a plan B...Ridiculous???? You fuclin started it Dub.

So you reckon Owen Coyle can go from Managing Burnley to a 3-3 draw at COMS through Bolton, to being a possible candidate to take over at City should there be a managerial change?

O'neill plays duller football thant what you are suggesting we're playing at present.

Redknapp...could well be doing a spell inside.

Rijkaard...available, but if he can't do a job at a big club in a tin pot league such as Turkey...no

Keegan?...yeah right. Lets get Frank Clark and Brian Horton in the fucking mix as well.

Hiddink...would only go back to Chelsea...

Van Gaal...my favourite but Bayern wouldnt let him go

On the whole a fucking shite question

Thats ok, don't thank me - at least not yet!

Thing is we haven't learnt as a club that changing the manager takes us an initial step backwards but rarley in turn seems to take us 2 steps forwards further down the line, largely becasue whoever comes in is never given time to see if he can take us 2 steps forwards. We need to break this mentality.

I don't see the point in a plan B, I'd rather concentrate on giving plan A enought time to work first, before giving a plan B any sort of consideration whatsoever.

Talking of Plan A, we are currently 4th in the table, on course for champ league football - the target for this season. Yes successive goaless draws at home isn't what we want, and without doubt we need to be much more attack minded at home. Nothing goes right 100% of the time, particulalry in football. The important thing is to learn and find the right balance, lets see if we do, before thinking of unhatching a plan B.

2 things I feel need to be considered.

1st is mostly aimed at Dazby. If draws are acceptable, surely Hughes would still be here with his obviously's in tact.

2nd for everyone that dismisses Redknapp, he took Spurs with a lesser squad to where our manager would be happy whilst still playing football approximately 65 million times more attractive than ours.
Tracking back is overrated.

So Hiddink was approached by City in the summer?

He also seems to be the favourite from this thread. So all you fucking numpties who keep telling me its pointless should take stock, because our owners clearly think it is in no way pointless and rightly so.

Its doesn't matter who is in charge, there is nothing wrong with a contingency plan. Even the scum had a contingency plan when it looked like Baconface might leave. All clubs have one or more contingency plans.

Its perfectly normal. It doesn't mean they want to sack the manager. Nor this thread.

Thanks to those who were able to contribute to it without having a little cry.

I Went for Keegan. Sacking Mancini is a step backwards, so why not go all the way back and bring back keegan, or fuck it, lets get joe fucking royle or frank twatting clarke back!!!

What a fucking joke (IMO) of a thread, the manager has got our team into the top 4 at the moment and we want to get rid.... seriously what the fuck?!

Admittedly his football is fucking toss to watch at times and his tactics are baffling, but given the option of top 4 and dull football or outside top 4 but play blinding football I know what i'd rather!

Dave, I know you arrived late and probably didn't see my numerous other replies to folk who think having a contingency plan is a joke.

You do know City approached Hiddink in the Summer don't you? Are our owners a joke too? Are the owners of every club a joke for having a plan B?

Come on, its a multi million pound business. Its also the club I love. Fucking right there should always be a contingency plan.

Joke indeed.
