Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

What team do we send out against the rags on Wednesday.
We could have gained a lot of confidence from today's performance had we stayed eleven men on the filed but now Mancio has to decide should we continue with two strikers or revert to 4-5-1 (4-3-3).
Going with two strikers means convincing Adebayor it's actually worth giving a toss after being left out today.
Thoughts ?

Adebayor for Balotelli.
We are a better team than the filth and the only thing I fear is the referee.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

In his Arsenal days he always gave United's defense nightmares so I'd be well up for playing the same formation and swapping Super "Twat" Mario for Adebayor.
Silva's passing at the moment is sublime so having two up top to pass to will help in no end. United have looking poor when under pressure so lets go out and pressure them from the start. Ferdinand's legs look ropey and right back is a problem for them. Let's attack them and win.

I agree, but I don't see it happening. Mancini will approach this game very carefully, and Ade sipmply isn't the kind of player you can put on the wing and expect to track back. The alternative would be to play Ade as centre forward, but givinf Tevez that defensive responsibility might hamper his creativity.

Seconded, as my first choiche.
Alternatively, Ade if it looks as anger as it has been in Poland.
I do love Mad Zab as I do NDJ, but I would consider to play Kolarov who brings solutions from off the box.

To be fair he did it in his last two games. but I agree with your assumption: is too much of a gamble.

Its really fucked us up hasnt it. Ade is no right winger, nor is Tevez.
I hope yaya and zaba are fit. Dont fancy throwing kolorov in really.

we do not play a blocked 4-4-2 with fixed roles, anymore.
It is more about roaming around a buoy while holding the ball...

That's very much true, but someone has to take the responsibility to help the midfield and fullbacks out at times.

I am very concerned about Boateng he was beaten regularly today I wonder if Zab (and Kolarov on the left) do better or even Micah?
I would replace Boateng with Kolarov and switch
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

Agreed. I know Balo did the bis today (discounting you know what) but fuck knows what Ade did to get dropped.

I would go with:
-----------------------Hart
Boateng--------K. Toure---Kompany-----Zabaleta
Yaya Toure--------De Jong--Barry-------Milner
--------------------------Silva
-------------------------Tevez

I think Kompany and Silva are doubtful for Wednesday
Hamstrings apparantly.

Ade in for Mario.
From there keep the exact same shape with the only tough choices being the two fullbacks. Boateng looked much better going forward today, but still shoddy at the back. Also stats will tell you Micah is way more likely to get a goal if we playing a RB to attack.
Tracking back is overrated.

I really couldn't give a fuck if we play Mickey fuckin Mouse in midfield....The rags don't scare me in any way. They're shit, we're better...we have noe reason to fear anything they can throw at us.
THEY HAVE EVERY REASON TO BE FRIGHTENED TO DEATH OF US.
Imagine taggart...trying to work out how to stop US

Well, I got to Maine Rd for the last Derby there, to find out our centre backs were Gerard & Mettomo. And I thought "Oh dear", or something like that. Worked out OK though didn't it?

Rumour has it AJ was on the field today. In fact I could've swore I saw him come on, but..................
Gotta be Ade if Balotelli isn't available. Silva would be the one we miss most if he's injured. Agree with Kolarov. Boateng though needs game time, unfortunately. He's gone from piss poor to poor to OKish to not bad. By Xmas he'll be steaming - he even ran up the wing today once!
