Adebayor off. Zabeleta on.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Adebayor off. Zabeleta on.

Postby citytilidie » Sat Oct 30, 2010 3:56 pm

Discuss.

Balotelli remaining on the pitch. Most bonkers decision i've ever seen.
It's better to regret something you did than something you didn't.

THE most bizarre decision since David James went on to be a striker with Weaver (?) replacing Reyna!

That says it all really.

Sometimes when things are really bad, you just have to laugh. I think this was Mancini just having an ironic joke.

Adebayor was easily our best player. Seem to take on the responsibility of chasing back that Tevez normally does.

Our worst players by a mile were Hart, Boateng, Toure, Kompany, Ya Ya Toure, Milner, Balotelli

Mancini took off our best players (Barry, Adebayor, and Richards) probably to rest them for more serious business (LOL) of getting out of the group stages of the Europa League.

I did mention last week that some people were bigging Balotelli up a la Bojinov but I was immediately shouted down.

He's obviously going to need time to adjust but one thing's for certain - you won't get far as a premier league striker if you spend most of your time off the ball at walking pace.

Has anyone got any kind of rational explaination for this subtitution? I am not the biggest tactical fotball fan but I really have no idea why you would do this while chasing the game?

It was a diversionary tactic - a red card would mean we could shift the blame like we did last week, and with De Jong and Boyata out, Mancini had no one else to turn to.

Zaba tried his best, but his awful tackle only picked up a yellow. Can't win 'em all.

Balotelli should have been spending this season like any other 20 year old kid, coming off the bench to try & win the game or starting the odd game when Bellamy or Tevez are rested.

He took off adebayor and brought on zabba to revert back to a 4-5-1 formations to get hold of the ball but ballotelli was making no runs and when he got it and the midfield went to support him he gave the ball away or tried stupid shots from 35 yards that got blocked.

The mistake you are should be questioning is why mancini didnt take ballotelli off instead of adebayor!
