Yaya looks out of sorts and continually looks knackered and slow after the 1st 30 mins, which is understandable for such a big lad having to help Carlos up-front as well as cover the defence; he's just not used to it.

Could you tell me what you are basing that opinion on as the stats...Assists (league)
Milner: 4
Tévez: 3
Silva: 1
A. Johnson: 1
Yaya Touré: 1
...currently show Milner as far more effective.
Colin the King wrote:I've been a little disappointed with both of them so far this season. We've been very good overall results wise with some top performances, but largely have Kompany, Touré and de Jong defensively and Tevez, Silva and Johnson going forward to thank for that. Everyone else has been either decent or disappointing.
Milner never stops running and that's admirable, and I certainly think we benefit from his workrate but in terms of quality there's not been a whole lot. I was hugely in favour of him signing but expected him to play centrally, in a midfield three. I still stand by that because he's a better option than Barry, surely. As a central midfielder he can do the tackling, tracking opponents, winning the ball and spreading it around that he did so well at Villa but wide left, he's taking up a creative position when that's not his strong point.
Touré has been the polar opposite- a lot of class and composure on the ball with little hard graft to back it up. That might just be the nature of his game but we suffer for it against a side that moves the ball quickly and presses all over the pitch. I think to assess his season so far there'd be a lot of 6s or 7s and an 8- nothing truly dreadful but nothing out of this world either.

Heard it mentioned somewhere that he has created more goalscoring chances this season than anyone else in the league as well.

He's only created 3 in the league mate, Nani, Brunt, Crouch, Drogba, Etherington, Arshavin have all created more.
Buffalo Soldier wrote:Wasn't full on assists that was mentioned, just creating a goal scoring chance regardless of whether it is scored or not.
Having said that, can't remember where I heard it mentioned or even if I heard it right and I can't find any stats to back it up. Might have even dreamt it. Fairly pointless post really.
