I said he'd last a year. Overestimated him.

Hodgson is a dogmative manager who can do well for smaller club where everyone signs up for his brand of booring football. Complete misfit for Liverpool even now that they are suffering.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think it's disgusting how they have treated a good young British manager.

No Reds move for Rijkaard

Frank Rijkaard's agent insists they have not been approached by Liverpool about possibly replacing Roy Hodgson at Anfield.

Hodgson's future at Liverpool has come under intense scrutiny following a disastrous start to the season.

Rijkaard has been mentioned as a possible replacement with the Dutchman being made the strong favourite by Sky Bet following his departure from Galatasaray earlier this week.

However, Rijkaard's representative, Perry Overeem, insists he has had no contact with Liverpool and that the former Barcelona boss will not be rushing any decision over his future.

"We have not been approached by Liverpool," Overeem told Sky Sports News HD.

"Frank's not thinking about any job at the moment - he wants to put what's happened in Turkey behind him.

"Frank's still in Turkey.

"Whenever we are approached, if we are approached, we will deal with that then but it's not helpful to get into rumours at this stage."

I heard this rumour on the same night as the Rooney stuff breaking out - just put it down to bollocks as I didn't hear anything else. Feel sorry for the bloke, but it did look like a bit of a nightmare match up.

This seems to be an old rumour as I'd heard this nearly a week ago, Rijkaard to quit and Hodgson to walk away with 3 mil. I dismissed it due to NESVs statement sayiny that they are backing the current management team; but you never know?

Saw some rumours today about frank and henk kate.

I assume the press will have a field day slagging Liverpool off for sacking a manager so quickly? Thought not

I would have thought ONeil would be the nailed on favourite for that if Hodgeson goes. He's used to operating with mediocre players & tightish budgets to produce difficult to beat, long ball, total piss to watch, teams that punch above their weight.

On a side not I reckon they will get smashed by Napoli in a minute. Cavani and Hamsik will take apart their CB pairing.

Oh well Woy, he can hardly expect the bronze statue treatment for the balls up he has made of Liverpoo's season. If true of course.

A scouse mate of mine reckons this is nonsense, and that they're dead set to sign Rooney. Apparently he overheard Hodgson saying 'Looks like Wayne's coming' but he couldn't make out the rest cos it started peeing it down.
