Lech Poznan & Arsenal teams

This is what having a squad is all about and why we have spent so much building one. This is a very important game as a win here will put one foot in the next round with 3 games to play. You get to 10 points in a group of 4 you go through, BUT the Arsenal game on Sunday is more important, they will have had an extra 2 days rest than us and a win against them will make us real genuine title contenders if we aren't already.

Therefore it would be silly to play IMO Hart, Tevez, Kompany and De Jong and if Yaya and Kolo are both fit, they too should enjoy the pre, half time and post match hospitality in the heated seats in the stands. David Silva to start on the bench and to come on if needed.

SWP, Santa Cruz, Adebayor, Vieria, Boyata and Given all to play.

So for me my team vs Lech Poznan would be

-----------------------Given-------------------------

---Richards----Boyata-----Lescott----Zabaleta---

------SWP------Vieria----Milner---A.Johnson-----

----------------Santa Cruz----Adebayor------------

SUBS: Taylor, Bridge, Boateng, Silva, Jo, Gudetti, Ibrahim

and for Arsenal

----------------------Hart------------------------

---Boateng----Kolo-----Kompany----Bridge---

-----------Milner---De Jong---Barry-----------

---------Silva--------------------Yaya----------

--------------------Tevez------------------------

SUBS: Given, Richards, SWP, A Johnson, Adebayor, Vieira, Lescott

From what I saw you are 2 out in that Lech Poznan team ( 3 if Hart plays)

That Poznan side is pretty good but I still wouldn't play Vieira although Mancini probably has his name down first. IMO Silva should have a run out alongside Milner in centre midfield or give one of the kids a go. Against Juve Vieira could never find a Blue shirt and only because they played a slow game did he just about keep up with play. Silva might get out muscled once or twice but would create more and like one of the kids at least be able to keep possesion!

Side against Arsenal looks like they could really do a number on the Gooners, although I would swap Yaya and Milner around. Milner has a good cross on him and Yaya is better making a run down the centre to get on the end of it.

There is no point in having Vieria int he squad if he doesn't play these games. Thats what he is here for to give others a rest.

Do we want to win against Poznan?!?! I know its nice to give the fringe players a game but alot of those named are not anywhere up to match sharpness, we want a reasonably easy win, not a fucking battle for 90 mins.

Start strong and kill them off, then rest the big boys

Course we want to win, but not at the expense of weakening us for Sunday.

Santa Cruz is not eligible for Europa.

If Given plays i think Hart will be on the bench.
Also if that selection starts then the bench would have a fair few game changers on for security.

Tevez and Ade up front to start and Barry instead of Vieira
