Unwanted City Gift Vouchers

Postby King Kev » Mon Oct 18, 2010 8:52 am

I have £45 of vouchers that I have no use for, however £45 in cash would come in really useful at the moment!

Any ideas how I could convert them?

Hang around the gift shop until you see somebody buying a load of stuff with cash, and ask them if you can swap the cash with them, and offer to wait with them until the vouchers have gone through the till to prove they ain't fake.

Put them on ebay, you will get close to the value.

Or meet someone @ the shop and do a trade, I have a £45 voucher supplied by npower (offer to new customers, I was an existing customer but told them I would leave um unless I got the voucher). I will be at the club shop end of next week doing the kids Xmas shopping only 300 mile round trip.

I remember when you Dan and Bob used to just embezzle site funds when you needed folding.

such pussies these days....

Can't these be Spiv'd like in about 15 minutes? what's the hold up?

also, is anyone going to finally respond to the embezzling charges once and for all and quit ducking the questions? Clearly, Patrick is still concerned, and he's a valued, and trusted member of the site.

cheers

There's a difference between paying yourself a (generous) salary and embezzlement!

Turns out my NPOWER £45 voucher is for the football league clubs only (made a knob of myself when trying to hand over the voucher at the stadium shop on Friday), so on EBAY it is.

I always travel down to the shop this time of the year from Durham to buy Xmas presents for my kids/brother & father, very disapointed this year with the merchandise on sale, loads of cheap looking t shirts & polos but expensive imo, for unnamed polos £20, the branded umbro polos £25 but only had XL on sale.

Wanted a white umbro polo XXL for brother
mancini scarf for father
ear stud for kids, all out of stock.

Ended up with over priced kids away kit @ £78.

Gutted for you that I didn't spot the thread before today, I saw your earlier post and was gonna chip in that I had just heard the advert on the radio saying it was for FL clubs.

If the voucher was in smaller denominations I would have had £20 off you at face value as I always get my grandad something from Bury for xmas, but he aint getting £45 worth!
