The one of many that got me was Barclay's idea of foreign teams entering the FA Cup because Queens Park entered 140 years ago. "Why not Real Madrid?" How about because they have their own, spanish, cup to enter you stupid patronising chauvanist twat

We could invite them and Barca and Bayern, the Milan clubs, Juve, Ajax, PSG and have the European Cup plus chaff. In what way is Real Madrid coming to place Burton Albion in the 3rd round any benefit at all to the Spanish club?

'Not a vintage year'?

The title was won twice last season, how can that not be a 'Vintage Year'?

Was there any real mention of us?

Exactly Beefy.

Two sides scored over 100 league goals in a close run title race. How was it anything other than vintage.

Suspect if the dippers had lifted it it would have gone down in the annals as the greatest league campaign ever, and the felching would barely have stopped

Pathetic and so typical of the media bias.

Hopefully that fucking depressed moron that hasn't noticed the bias to date watches that.

We're boring as fuck to them. It's not even fun to bash us anymore. We've won. Keep collecting trophies over the next few years and this all just blows over. These twats gain nothing by slating or big upping us anymore, so it's a non-story.

cheers

Cheers for that mate. Nothing too much wrong there and I actually thought they were being very mindful of our position. You could see certain traits coming out, hoping the whole might of the US of A would come down on us but at least it was thoughtful.

I suspect there's a lot of love for Lampard there which chilled their boots a bit, but who can blame them.

Good to see that there was no love for Chelsea though, saying as it is. Chelsea let him go, they have no rights in this whatsoever.

@neilashton_:

On the @SundaySupp from 9:

1. City spending.
2. Harry/Lambert.
3. #saintsmarchon + Chelsea perfection.
4. Ginola.
5. Ravel + Arsenal.

City spending? I thought we only spent £25 that we are to get from Valencia for Negredo anyway ... what about those who have spent £150m already ad have a kitty of another £150, not to mention the debts they have ...

Chelsea Perfection? Dropping a 8 pts lead that is or the away form of late ... oh wait, one away win at a mid table club must have sorted all that in which they gifted them three of their five goals anyway ...

And it gets better ...

@neilashton_: Martin Lipton, Jason Burt and Patrick Barclay are today's guests from 9.

Lot of poisonous bile this morning - especial hatred for the lampard deal which they appear to think breaks ffp for some reason despite the fact we're paying his wages - odd

This Burt fella seems more switched on

Patrick Barclay is the worst of all. Chelsea are much better than City are they?

Jason Burt seems a sensible chap and even said that if the rest actually took time to contact City, they'd get a reasoned response. This just shows that certain media outlets are driven by the headline and aren't really interested in the truth.

I thought the discussion was quite good though with some considered responses. Seeing the line-up, it looked like we were going to get a kicking but even Barclay & Lipton conceded that we haven't overstepped the mark in relation to FFP and that Bony was a no-brainer. They even went on to say that though FFP is a thing for good, it is wrong not to include debt in the key measures, ie. the Rags, and it is far better to have the likes of Abramovich and Mansour who have no debt rather than leveraged buyouts.

I did like the way that they questioned Mourinho's actions and the fact that Chelsea didn't have an option on Bony, as they have a thing going with Vitesse Arnheim.

A little bit of a poke in the eye for Maureen ;-)

When are they chatting about the rags being back after yesterday's amazing away win?

I'm not sure even they could be that optimistic!

4th should be the least they could expect, with that squad and the money spent over the last 2 years. That'd be a better talking point.

Caught two minutes and Barclay was calling City fraudsters over the Lampard deal. Switched over to the cricket after that. A despicable cunt. Actually, he'd be the perfect replacement for Mourinho and if, heaven forbid, should Mourinho go into punditry after management, he could take over from Barclay
