Suppository Takes A Strange Turn

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

We are seen as interlopers. Its like when you go out with a really classy bird, you know her circle of friends will have their pre-conceived ideas about you. If it goes to shit how many of them wouldnt say I told you so?, and how many would admit they liked you and were wrong in pre-judging? this is what its all about.

I thought they were great in their praise of City. Not sure he meant 'ground out' tbh honest - more like skin of the teeth, which it was.

Richardson said we were magnificent etc.

How about we ground out winning the league? For a start, who doesn't? Every time the rags won a game they didn't deserve to, you hear the nonsense about how that's what champions do, yet apparently us winning the league like that is a bad thing. And that's ignoring things like it being the third highest points total, the away wins at Norwich, Spurs or the rags or some of the football we played.

Oh stop being so precious. You are so upset because one guy chose the term 'ground out' to describe our title win? I can't think of a smaller less insignificant thing to be upset over.

Do you actually get any of the British press coverage over in China?

This isn't just a short term thing and it comes from many years of negative reporting. I'd suggest you look back on this very same thread and have a listen to the 'Morally Bankrupt' comments by those who write the stories. It maybe an eye-opener for you.

It's the blue and white striped shirt / black jacket combination that does it for you, isn't it?

Mail website is amusing. Has an article about whether Neggers and Dzeko can fill the Aguero void then mentions the 11 goals in less than two and a half games since he limped off.

Apparently both strikers were upstaged by Taarabt with Neggers only contribution being the assist for Milners goal.

It then states that Brendan Rogers will have noted our problem at right back. No shit Sherlock. His bigger problem is how does Suarez outscore us? I'm sure Pellers has done his homework. Bring it on.

Pass of the season. If that was giggs it would of had 45 minutes of airtime on MOTD.

Absolute class and not a cross many strikers could make. Just that 1 pass pisses on taraabt's a whole season.

This thread started some years ago discussing the remark that football wants Fulham to win.

Its interesting watching that in hindsight.

One of the guys was quite reasonable in his views I think. One is pissed that Mancini was set in the stands during the game -- although I think he later apologised when he found out he was wrong and Mancini wasn't actually there.

Other guy is a grade A cunt.

Here's what we can look forward to tomorrow....should be interesting:

CITY SPRAWL: Man City, meanwhile, have been busy spending their money Down Under, where they've acquired A-League side Melbourne Heart, following their recent investment in the soon-to-be-formed New York City FC. What exactly are City trying to achieve with these purchases? Our pundits will shine a light on the matter - and also have their say on City's FA Cup contest with Watford, their recent Premier League title charge and former boss Roberto Mancini's claims their current success is down to him.
