Team news

Mancini is still without summer signing Mario Balotelli for Thursday's clash as the striker continues his recovery from a knee injury.

The manager will field a strong side for the encounter, despite City's impending Premier League visit of Newcastle at the weekend.

He said: "Because we play the Europa League on Thursday nights we have only two days and two nights to recover, but I always put out the strongest team that I can."

Micah Richards could be available after sitting out City's win over Chelsea with a hamstring injury.

Shaun-Wright Phillips is in doubt due to a knee problem, while Wayne Bridge and Aleksandar Kolarov are still sidelined.

Del Neri has received a boost ahead of Juve's Manchester visit with the news summer signing Jorge Martinez is ready to return to action.

The 27-year-old sustained a knee injury on the opening day of the Serie A season and had been sidelined ever since.

I can't wait to see it at work to be honest, JB will patrol the right wing leaving AJ and Tevez to drift and find space. Let's hope we get plenty of support to Ade. Shows how much Mancini doesn't trust Jo and Rsc or he would have played this side against Blackburn.

Wasn't it Krasic that made Glen Johnson look like a Sunday League footballer during the World Cup?
