Postby theboltonianblue » Fri Sep 24, 2010 3:37 pm

was just scanning the internet looking at some of the best EPL goals of all time, when i wonderd who would be in the best premier league team of all time. which then lead me to stumble on to this crock of shite team http://msnsport.skysports.com/story/0,1 ... 57,00.html poor choices, but who would be in your all star EPL team?
ive been trying to think of one but, i keep on changing it there have just been too many good players

I'd fancy our chances against that Sky Sports team - some decent players, but no balance to the side.

You'd need someone to win the ball in midfield for a start, so Vieira or someone else who's name escapes me. The latter would mean a midfield of rags, so that would need to be resolved. However, I'd also go for Irwin at left back over Evra.

You'd need a proper number 9 up front if you were playing 4-4-2, so Shearer.

I've just tried putting a full team together based on 4-4-2, but there were way too many rags, so I'm never going to consider this again.

We're not a team mate, we're a fantastic squad of individuals... hopefully soon though!

That aside, give me the invincibles of Arsenal.

Nobody could beat them.

The best team.

My team would have to have a front two of Bergkamp and Zola

Best ever EPL team or best ever Sky 4 team?

No Shearer, Fowler, Cole, Owen, Cole all scored more goals than Cuntona.

Evra? Give me a break.

Had enough? no?

Gary Neville. Fuck off, what a joke

If you can't beat them, they're the best!

Impressive and a joy to watch, especially the mean tackling.

there's so many good players to pick from but i tried to go with players who performed at top top level for a number of years. and seeing as it's premier league it has to be heavily dominated by man utd because they've probably been in every single title race since it's formation. i also want to say i'm gutted that i couldn't find a place for my hero dennis bergkamp, but i think the two strikers i have picked are far and away the best to ever play premier league football, though drogba could well nudge one of them out!

schmeichel

carragher carvalho ferdinand ashley cole

beckham gerrard vieira giggs

shearer henry

Ronaldo
Scholes
Keane
Giggs

Henry
Shearer

I'm sorry but when the rags have won 11 out of 18 premier leagues then the best premier league team will be populated by them.
