Training Today 24/9

Postby Nobody Special » Fri Sep 24, 2010 12:13 pm

Hi Lads

DH is away for a few days, here's my report for BM, sorry it's not a DH novel (he must have been an author in a previous life)

Hello Folks

The usual Friday thing where training takes place behind the iron curtain which makes viewing a little difficult.

As always the usual ballwork and running, then onto short sided games.

Mancini took the first team squad onto another pitch for a quick brief on breaking and counter attacking also looking again at positioning for corners.

The absentees today were, Kolarov, Bridge, SWP, Richards and Ballotelli, the latter not in the building today.

Milner and NDJ were doing less strenuous exercises than the others and didn't get involved in the last session, which was a half pitch 3 touch about 9 v 9.

Adebayor was unbelievable today, i would go close to saying unplayable.

Tevez took a little knock to his ankle yesterday, was wrapped in ice and taken out of training as a precaution, he was back firing on all cylinders today.

A good spirit again lads.

Note to self, take step ladders on Fridays!!

Fingers crossed this happens on a more consistent basis and then he may get his wish of a regular starting place

Cheers Neil.

Really great to know Ade is stepping it up as Mancini asked. I still think that he has a future at City if he wants it, as he's as good as anyone & as you say 'unplayable' at his best. It's all up to him. He could form a fearsome front 3 with Tevez & Balotelli if we eventually take the shackles off.

Thanks Neil, Ade's technique is superb when on the pitch it's just a shame it's not combined with the work rate of Tevez.

Soon as the big games come up ade looks unplayable? Shows where his mind is, on the fame rather than being a winner.

Not sure about 100%, he's trained all week, can't be sure if he's ready, but he looked good.

I've only had my passport stamped for a few days till Doug gets back, then it's back to the Death Star!
