Strange team selection from Gollum at home.
Howard
Hibbert-Jagielka-Distin-Baines
Arteta Heitinga
Osman-Pienaar
Fellaini
Cahill

Or something like that, with Yakubu, Beckford and Gueye all on the bench. Way to go for the jugular.

Near enough the same side that beat them 3-1 last season.

Pretty soon strikers will be redundant. Teams will favour either the 4-6 'defensive' option of the 3-7 approach.

Over time defenders will become just as useless with 2-8 and eventually '10' formations becoming the standard.

Mancini has seen this, evident from his summer signings.

Great save from Howard.

Fouled Pienaar three times in quick succession and finally the bent cunt in black blows the whistle, how about a yellow for persistent fouling? Not a chance.

Disappointed. This was one the games where I could see rags dropping points.
