Made of glass

Postby gillie » Fri Sep 10, 2010 10:08 pm

I am thinking that some of our players must be.
RSC we all know if bumped into will shatter.
Boateng gets a cut knee and does a lord lucan they should have put some sudocreme on the cut right away lad would have been fine in 2 days.
Adebayor when the fuck did he get injured.
M. Johnson top player imo but made of glass.
Super Mario what the story behind his injury on MONDAY he was a likely starter against BBurn come THURSDAY he is having a knee op which will keep him out for 6 weeks.
Are our medical staff all that good coz i am getting conflicting messages from what the pressers are putting out on a day to day basis.

It's not just us, almost everyone has had some of their big players missing sometimes for long periods, sometimes for good. For example; Ferdinand, Hargreaves (Owen of course) Gerrard, Torres, Essien, J Cole, Van Persie, Eduardo, Walcott, Lennon, DeFoe, Dawson, Woodgate, Jagielka, Yakubu & that's just off the top of my head. Good reason to have cover in every position & then some.

I think the Boateng airplane story gets a little more attention than it deserves. He has tendon damage, I think that's where the real problem is.

Like this has been a recent problem, but then again I heard from DHTP that Hughes was involved in revamping the club from top to bottom, so this should have been fixed.

Reyna, Fowler, Wanchope all were long term injuries that remind me of MJ's situation.

Yea imagine having Van Persie playing for you, what IS the point?

Its the modern game, too intense, too many games, flimsy boots etc

Good job we can stay strong without everyone fit.

Just a good job the stupid 25 man rule does not apply to all competitions but does highlight what a problem it creates. The transfer window doesn't help either.

Why do you think that? Who outside the 25 man squad do you think we will need this season?

Three games into the season and Arsenal and Fulham each have 7 players out.
Newcastle and Tottenham have 6 each.
And we've got 5 (but that doesn't include Michael Johnson)

I must admit I have very little confidence in the ability of our club doctor(s) to suss out potential frailties in our transfers.

I think it's a bit unfair on the medical staff. RSC is fit, Boateng did tendon damage, but it required the cut to get better to assess the full extent. They got Johnson back playing from his abdominal injury but then his knee went, can't blame them for that. They've fixed that serious injury too.

I don't know what happened to Adebayor.

Balotelli has a meniscal tear, SOP is to treat it without resorting to an operation but sometimes an operation is necessary. It's frustrating, but that's a normal enough outcome.

Well Tevez passed a late fitness test. Ballotelli is out for 6 weeks and Ade is not fit. That would leave us with Jo as our strike force. A one word answer to your question would be Bellamy but any other decent striker.
